Alright lads,

Well done on making the Play Offs. Had hoped you'd go up instead of the barcodes but guess in the end they were too good (or lucky!).

Quick question .. if I can't get an away ticket, where's the best place to purchase one in your end? I live in Derby, so an easy game to go to and have sat in home ends before and am purely there to watch the game and can quite happily sit on my hands!

By the way, someone was asking further down this board - best place to find Blackpool fans is at www.avftt.co.uk - busiest Seasiders board on the net by a mile.

Good luck lads .. we're just happy to be there and anything else is a bonus!

Alright mate, whilst obviously I don't really advocate infiltrating the home ends, the 'safest' area would be the Brian Clough stand. T Block would put you closest the away fans, but will probably have the rowdier element of that stand in there as they'll be the non-season ticket holders who seem to like giving it large when they do turn up.

I would suggest somewhere near the middle of the BC Upper - which is a fairly low atmosphere area. Obviously whereever you are amongst home fans then you'll need to well, control your reactions somewhat!

Hey poolboy, welcome to the forum!

No offense but I don't want to recommend a place in our home end for you to sit - I'd hate for you to get a ticket over one of our own supporters.

Same as you, we're just happy to have made it this far so anything else is a bonus.

I sat Upper Clough last season when we played Norwich I think. Some bloke celebrated a goal, before he sat down some bloke ran down about 15 rows, across about 9 people and landed a jaw shot straight across him. As they were both taken out by stewards someone else cracked the Norwich fan one.

Personally I wouldn't want you taking a ticket over one of the home fans as you run this type of risk and I would rather it went to a Forest fan, but if you were to do it then I'd say T Block Lower Clough. Upper middle Clough is sold out now anyway I think.

I'd imagine that you would need a client reference number to purchase a home ticket.

dont worry, you will beat us quite easily.

we will buckle under the pressure and billy davies will blame our transfer comittee.

good luck against cardiff in the final.

Cheers people. Fully understandable the point about wanting your fans to have tickets first - think I'd feel the same at our place. However, if it turns out your place hasn't sold out for whatever reason I'll try my luck with the places you advised (I once sat in the Preston end when we beat them 1-0 with a penalty and I didn't even flinch .. I must have been good at musical statues as a child!).

Best wishes and let's hope we put on a decent show to prove there was always other teams than Newcastle in this league (hint hint Sky and BBC TV!!)

You're definately getting a descent amount of media coverage now as the 'underdogs'. I don't think i've heard a word about the Cardiff v Leicester game.

I hope you have a good day out if you do manage to get a ticket, but I echo the sentiments of others in that tickets for seats amongst the home fans should only go to the home fans in games like this.

As for the Norwich fan being attacked, there's no place for that in football, inside or outside the ground. It doesn't matter which team one supports, there's never any need.

There isnt, its disgraceful behaviour.

By the same token though, the norwich fan is clearly trying to incite the forest fans by sitting amongst the home fans and cheering.

If your going to sit amongst the opposite set of fans, you should at least have the class and intelligence to keep quiet. There's always plenty of idiots at football grounds who cant help themselves and react like cavemen....dont give them the chance.

I agree there isn't any place for it, but if your gonna jump up and start cheering infront of 7k or whatever that stand holds there will be at least 1 person who has a short fuse and will slap you.

Still in answer to the original question the Family Stand is a good shout.

The Family Stand will have already sold out. The tickets are a fair bit cheaper.

i seem to remember a forest fan getting completely mauled by leciester fans in the 'family' area at the crisps stadium. And to be honest its not like blackpool are known for their huge away followings, cant be hard to get tickets for it, unlike forests which wont even make it to season ticket holders :| thanks forest.

i'd be surprised if you get a ticket in the home end.

i actually sat in the blackpool end for the blackpool - forest match the other week, but i went with a load of blackpool supporters who were friends. i don't think football caters enough for this. when we scored i managed to contain myself, just. i think if we'd gone 1-0 up i would have been rumbled, the guy behind me rumbled me but it was mostly due to the conversation i was having i think.

Sounds like Blackpool have sold their home allocation and their away allocation will fly I'm sure. Our away members will snap up the allocation up there so hardly Forests fault.

I hope that last comment is said tongue in cheek.

The tickets for the away leg not getting to season ticket holders isn't Forest's fault! It's only right to reward the people who have been to the most away games.

I very much doubt we'd have any spear seats I'm afraid.

Not sure who said it earlier in the thread but i'll echo those sentiments that you'll probably require a client reference number to purchase a home seat.

If you manage to get one before hand, best places to sit are Clough stand or lower Bridgford next to your fans (if its opened up for Forest fans).

No point telling this bloke he's a bad bad boy for nicking a Forest ticket, if he's gonna do then he's gonna do it and we may as well keep him out of potential trouble.

Let's face it, if one of us lived in Blackpool, we'd probably get a ticket in with the home fans, if away tickets were at a premium.

I know I would.
