Well, I never thought I'd read punditry on Forest from a Glaswegian lawyer, that's for sure.

Billy Davies' legal representative believes it is important that everyone at Nottingham Forest 'pulls together'.
There have been murmurings around the City Ground over recent weeks that events off the field may be driving a wedge between manager and board.
Davies has made no secret of his frustration at a lack of activity in the transfer market, with the Scot of the opinion that his hands are being tied.
His regular outbursts have not gone down well with the Forest hierarchy, who feel the Scot should be focusing more on getting results.
It has also been claimed that the board are losing patience with the amount of time Davies spends away from the club.
However, the former Derby and Preston boss has sought to play down those reports, insisting he continues to give the role his full attention.

He is facing a make-or-break period in his tenure, though, with the January transfer window looming large.
It is likely that Davies will be given money to spend in the New Year, helping to build bridges, and his legal representative feels it is time for the in-house bickering to stop.
Glasgow-based Jim Price stated: "We are approaching the halfway point in Billy's contract. Given the brief from chairman Nigel Doughty to qualify for the Premier League in three years, it is time for us all to evaluate where the football club has reached.
"Billy's first half season saved Forest from relegation. Last year, play-off qualification was achieved. The next step would seem to be within reach.
"Which makes it more important than ever, going into the next transfer window, that everybody pulls together for the good of Nottingham Forest."

If that's the case, I suspect the post-match interviews might be even more surreal: -

This is beginning to get embarrassing now.
 
Is this the same lawyer that was looking after the 'kneegate' case? I wonder how much his hourly rate is for football analysis?

This is getting ridiculous now, and shameful that ND is allowing Forest fans to be subjected to all this shit.

Right now I would firmly on the "f*** off BD" side, but the thing that stops me is that I know ND would appoint another 'yes man' and we would have another decade of disaster!

Give the man some money, let him buy his own players to stop him (and his lawyer (pathetic)) moaning!

The thing is though its not like doughty can accuse billy of wasting his money; we have bought in some real bargains and quality players under billy; look at gunts and camp for example. Both quality players bought for peanuts really.
 
whats worrying is in the match report today in the sun both cohen and camp are both qouted to be saying the would welcome new signings with welcome arms as the squad needs new faces, if this is true billys rumblings about squad not being good eneugh has actualy rubbed off on the squad who are now also using it as a excuse for poor perfomances.

Except we didn't play particularly badly on Saturday. In fact, it wouldn't have been unfair if we'd actually won the game.

What you mean is: "Fifty-thousand pound question now, then an extra hundred thousand if we get the right answer. And we know he's going to answer for us, because he hasn't answered for the other interviewer yet, and he merely has to put pen to paper with us, and it's when not if".
 
Billy's lawyer is telling Doughty we have to buy players?

Clough paid 44k for Larry Lloyd - that's his transfer fee, not his wages. He turned youngsters going nowhere like Anderson, Robertson, O Neill and Woodcock into stars. He brought in Frank Clarke on a free. I could continue for a week on this theme. Can you imagine his lawyer commenting on the team? He didn't have a bloody lawyer.
