Hello, I belive the last time you posted on here was wehn Sven and Sol Campbell were there to care about Notts County and wanted to take the club to the Premiership, and it had nothing to do with money whatsoever.
How have things been since your last post ? who will be in goal for you next season with all the millions you have to spend from that middle east consurtium?

I'm not suprised you've come on here gloating, you've got our failure from last season to goad us about, the fact that your club got promoted and is now higher than ours, you've got a high profile much sought after manager who stuck with you after getting you promoted, you've spent millions signing players that every other club is after, and you have a chairman who took the club on because he has always been a massive fan and loves the club, and is ploughing money into the club with no thought of taking it back out again or using the club to further his other businesses.

The Guardian's Daniel Taylor has just tweeted that the board's relationship with Billy is "on its knees" and he will be surprised if Billy is there at Christmas.
I like Billy and hope he stays, but I don't blame the club for putting him straight over the Perch thing. Doughty puts a lot of money into this club and shouldn't have his business reputation dragged through the mud in the name of leverage.
Billy must be very poorly advised if he keeps going this way. Exactly how many football chairmen will be willing to put up with him if ND says enough is enough?

Two things - a previous poster stated that Billy is only stating the truth. Really? He's so wrapped up in himself that I don't think he would recognise the truth if it kicked him on the back of the leg. If it is true that Billy has got a warning, then I imagine that he got it for NOT telling the truth. I can't imagine him not knowing that Perch was on the list of 'available players' and truthfully, why would we want to keep him? I like Perch but not as a left back and not in front of any of the midfielders we've got. If we assume that we WILL make a couple of signings this summer, then he'll be even further down the pecking order. Selling him gives us £1.5 million and saves us £250,000 or so a year in wages.
As for the TAP, Billy's childish digs are getting boring.
The other thing - Joshmeowd - please don't think that Notts in ANY way represent true rivals. You haven't truthfully been that for over half a century. Worry more about where your club can keep out of financial embarrassment rather than us lot!

My sentiments exactly. If you get a job at a well established restaurant, you can't suddenly go and change the menu, you have to work with the head chef to ensure best quality food is delivered and then begin to suggest new ideas.

Billy, before he was employed, would have been told how the club works. And he signed up to that.
I cannot believe for one minute the club sold James Perch without him either knowing about it, suggesting it, or agreeing to it.
Yet still we have Billy complaining in the media every opportunity he gets.
I like Billy, and I think he's the best Manager we've had in years, but by God he doesn't half try your patience. Why does he insist on publicly belittling the club and complaining all the time? I'm sure if he has a genuine grievance, he should take it up with the Chairman (I'm sure he has his phone number) rather than using any available media platform to stir up trouble.
Forest last season were heading in the right direction for the first time in years; this season, we have an opportunity to build on that success that we must take. That means everyone at the club - including the Manager - working together and pulling in the same direction.
Billy isn't bigger than Forest; the club will still be here when he's long gone.
Billy should just shut up and get on with his job - which, so far, he's done his job well - moaning in the press will get him nowhere.
And if he does get the sack from Forest because of any perceived disruption he has caused, which club would touch him then?

I will say one thing in davies's defence here, from when he took over right up until the end of last season he has always maintained that he sees perch particuarly as one of his most important players at the club. He was always the one he reffered to as having big plans for.
He was definitely one of billys favourites, so whilst we might think perch was crap- billy very obviously does not. So you can see why he would not want to sell him. He has at least been fairly consistent on that front.
Whethere he did or didnt know about it is another matter entirely
I hope billy doesnt go, its taken us 11 years to finally get into a decent state, and its taken since paul hart left till now for the AP to actually start signing genuinely good players who can go places, and for the club to gain respectability and not be seen as a joke again.
Please billy, shurrup and get on with your job and stop being a prat.
Please Mark arthur/pleat and doughty stop getting caught in a power struggle with your manager and buy some players- stop being prats.

Swap divisions? Are you in the Premiership? Oh that's right, you were last in there early 90s for one season and you'll never be there again.
We finished 3rd in the Championship last season and you finished 1st in League Two.. Just remember that..

Wouldn't you say keeping us up when we had been a shower of shit in 90% of games up to his arrival is a success though. Then improving our position by 16 positions.
I don't like it anymore than you do when Billy shoots his mouth off but I strongly believe that he is an excellent manager and his positves outweigh any faults tenfold. Don't think his preperation f**ked us up, more his poor team selections for both games.
His frustration is understandable when the TAP failed to acquire any of his targets in January and have not delivered so far this summer though.

I'm a tiny bit surprised it's come now. The rhetoric was the same in his last interview but the body language and tone were different to those post christmas. I'd certainly have slapped his wrists then. Whoever suggested it's in advance of potential compensation claims is probably very perceptive. Mark appears to me to be the bridge between everybody and he has his work cut out. ND has a right to expect some professionalism from billy, he does not have to answer every question, nor does he have to spin it towards his agenda. It's also true that Billy obviously feels excluded from the process and not listened to. This isn't healthy. I'm a strong advocate of the TAP and under no circumstances would I give him full control but a balance needs to be struck.
Lest we forgot how grim it was prior to billy we should remember how sad we were to lose southall! Now the improvement has been down to both the manager and the TAP and it's important we can get them to work together. Billy leaving would be a huge blow, however ND leaving would be i disaster of clownty proportions. Those who think billy wouldn't find work are mistaken, if hughes can find a club after prison I'm pretty sure billy will. Results matter more than morality in football. Somehow we just need to talk them into a group hug
