Billy takes a warning

I have no news at all on the targets but I do know that Billy has been given a formal warning by the club after what he said about the Perch transfer

Not just talking about a telling off this time - but an official documented warning which could be used in court as evidence should he ever be sacked by the club

Club are clearly looking after themselves by preparing a case for dismissal in case he carries on with his outbursts

Despite previous clear the air talks and dressing downs this is the first time anything official like this has been done which tells you how pissed off Doughty is with him and how bad things have got

If they were to ever sack him they have to have evidence of prior warnings and for the first time they have taken that step with him officially

Just what we need hey !

Why is our football club so consistently a farce? Best finish in 11 years, and we have an unhappy manager moaning in the press, no players coming in, and now formal warnings being issued.

I mean seriously, come on forest get your acts together and all pull in the same frackin direction just for once.

Why is this a farce? The club is protecting itself against the possibility of a lawsuit at a future date. Billy Davies does not have the best record in the world as far as employee/employer relationships go and the club must protect irself.

As far as I can see we are all pulling in the same direction except for the little Scot who has a history of similar behaviour wherever he has been!

Personally I think Doughty wants shot of him but doesn't want the backlash from the fans.

Bad start to the season could see him gone.

I was including billy davies in it. The whole thing is a complete and total farce on all sides.

Instead of pushing forward, with positivity, unity and excitement after a great season we have yet more bickering- dearie me.

Oh dear that doesn't sound good! Listening to his interview, Billy sounds very pissed off about the TAP. What do they want him to say though?! Hes only telling the truth, do they want him to lie to the press and risk his credibility? If I were Billy, I would be thinking that I don't owe the TAP shit so why should I lie for them to protect their image when they don't include me in the transfer process.

Imo Billy is here to do the best he can with what he's given and in the process enhance his reputation in the hope of getting another good job once his contract here is up. Sadly this will never be 'his club'. I agree that we shouldn't give him 20 million to do what he wants (a la Pratt) but there has to be better communication between Billy and the TAP and he should be heavily involved when talking to the player etc.

The question is 'Is Billy trying to work with the TAP or against it?'. He obviously resents the very existence of the panel and I tend to think that he will do everything he can to make their life difficult

I think their working relationship would be a lot better if they included him more and told him what was going on. Anyone in Billy's situation would feel the same imo. He must feel like the 'hired help' here to train the players and win matches with little thanks for it.
