Way better than Cox (15 games without a goal, wtf?) but BD doesn't seem to rate him.

Disagree. I think it's highly debatable Cox is better than Sharp. He may not be a better finisher than Sharp sure, by a long way in fact, but Cox has a much higher workrate and brings so much more to the team.

I think Sharp will be gone next season too.

Doesn't look like he's arsed being here. Last few games his work rate has been way down. Sulking against Bolton when substituted aswell.

The more Sharp plays and scores the higher the asking price come July. I think Forest know exactly what they are doing regarding Sharp and i think he'll be joining us full time come the start of next season.

Interesting thought. I'd be surprised if that was the thought behind it

15 games without a goal but he still passed it to Majewski for the goal, so even though he is under pressure he wasn't selfish. It's the midfielders who have got the goals under BD's return so it will be interesting to see if Cox and Sharp grab a few in the next couple of games :)

Did you not see what Cox did, to set up our winning goal?

I did see what he did (I thought you were too drunk to notice), very well played...still not scored a goal for 15 games up front, who does he think he is? Fernando Torres?

Sharp has fed off scraps all season, now just as we're making chances he gets dropped. Pretty frustrating but I'm sure he will get his chance again.

Cox came back from injury a month too soon. I don't think we'll see the goal scoring side of him until next season, after the summer break. He's still giving 150% every game and he has presence

Sharp is without doubt an excellent player at this level but it's difficult to find a place for him at the minute. We have no width on the right of midfield and Cox is giving us that bit of width as well as being a striker, take him out of the team and we lose all balance. You could play both but I just don't think they work too well together.

Cox + Blackstock = always works
Cox + Sharp = sometimes works
Sharp + Blackstock = rarely works

Up untill Cox's injury, I thought Billy and Cox were starting to form a very good partnership. However, BD likes to have more of a physical presence up top most games, and as you say, Cox is integral right now. There just isn't a place for Sharp right now, regardless of how good he is at this level.

His chance will come though. There will be a time soon where teams worry more about us, and set up to stop us playing, meaning we'll have to change tact a little bit, perhaps with a more othradox 442 at times during games, and Billy will have the chance.

I'm willing to bet he'll still score us another 3/4 very important goals this season.

Billy Idle. He's been a bit up himself ever since he was MOTY for Scunthorpe, Billy D will make him work for his place, and we'll see a new improved version.

Was it just me who thought Cox wasn't playing upfront yesterday?

Looks to me like we're playing a fluid 4-5-1, with Cox, Reid, Maj and Lansbury constantly swapping positions.

Yeh, I think you're right.

I think Cox has a bit of a free licence. But he is certainly deeper than a striker.

It's a very fluid midfield, it often looks like 4-2-3-1 to me. But they're all very interchangable.

There's a lot of games in March though. BD will rotate, and Sharp will get his chance. Got to take it.

Cox plays a more Rooney role, not on the shoulder of the last defender but he'll come deep to get it and work for the team that way.

He could do with a goal or two, but the fact he was willing to pass in front of goal yesterday actually says far more about his quality than if he was doing everything he could for himself.

That Dyer mug from Swansea could do with watching a video of Cox.

Cox has so much energy on the field , that kind of enthusiasm is great to have in the team , not to mention that he's such an intelligent and unselfish player. He's always all over the field , helping out in midfield and defence , closing down defenders and making life hell for them because of all his off the ball running and tenacity when he has the ball.

The formation seems to be working very well. It works well when Adi is playing as he covers a lot of ground from a defensive and attacking view point. We might need to change formation if he isn't playing as for example the Moose doesn't have his ability or for that matter any of the other midfielders.

I think Cox plays better in this formation than Sharp. Billy is better on the defenders shoulder sniping around the box. Cox links play well and works exceptionally hard for the team. He also appears to have regained match fitness after the ankle injury he came back from a few weeks ago.

Went to school with that mug before he buggered off to the Saints academy.

Mug then, mug now.

His sister is a beaut though.

Haha, thanks for the insight. Much time may pass, but one still remembers a good set of knockers from yesteryear.
