Billy Sharp

Don't be silly lads, we don't need Billy Sharp, we will get the best striker in the world from Kuwait!!

Does this newfound lack of any faith whatsoever in NFFC mean your quitting #redsmafia?

Anyone with half a brain would be questioning what is going on.
Are we in the clutches of Munto MkII?
Or are we owned by Sheik Monsaur's twin?

Rumours starting to circulate tonight on twitter and forums that Hull are to make a £2m offer for Billy. Got to be a crock of shit surely as 1) he is on loan til May with no recall clause isn't he? 2) He's played for 2 clubs already this season? (So'ton and us obviously).

1. Yes, and
2. Yes.

Billy Sharp is with us until the end of the season.

Looked a bit 'not arsed' today, especially when him and Reidy had the ball in their end on about 90 minutes. The only thing I can think of is that WMD doesn't think he's worth 2.5m when we already have Cox

I don't think he's a Billy Davies type of player to be honest.

BD likes to rotate his strikers quite a bit, and he likes them to be combative. Billy is someone who needs to play every minute of every game so he can grow in confidence and get chances.

Be very sad to see him go, hopefully he can score some important goals between now and the end of the season.

When I saw the team I thought it was BD doing mind games and going to bring him on late all pumped up. I really would like him to be here next season, but I had thought that BD was resting him previous to this game (heel knock?) ready for a big fat FU type sub today in front of the other half of Steel City.

I DO think there is a place in the team, but at present his confidence has taken a knock plus with a new baby and all the emotional stuff attached to that after past events, he's at a low ebb. A boggy pitch doesn't do him any favours either, so few at the mo are ideal for anyone, let alone him. I hope BD works his silver tongued magic and gets him on board in the summer, as I think we will see him back to his best sooner rather than later, hopefully before the end of the season AND beyond.

See for me the best thing he has done so far is dropping Sharp.

He is clearly a real talent and he is clearly the best goal scorer we have. BUT you just got the impression under the previous 2 managers that despite having the options and choices regardless of how he performed he was going to be picked. For me late January and BDs first game he just wasn't performing, despite the same applying for the others at the time they were chopped and changed whilst he remained.

Him going to the bench has in my eyes just recreated that competition for places upfront and he is being kept out by the others who have really made a good impression so far. Hopefully we will get Sharp back in top form when he gets his chance and hopefully see it maintained.

Way better than Cox (15 games without a goal, wtf?) but BD doesn't seem to rate him.

He is not way better than Cox.

They are so different it's unreal.

Not having a go, just pointing out what I feel a lot of Forest fans also think.

I watch him in the warm-up, and I watch him when he comes on. He's not enjoying it like he normally does when I've watched him play for other clubs. Doesn't look pumped. Just looks like he wants to get on with it till the end of the season.

He'll be gone I reckon.

Don't get why he's not playing, best goal scorer we've got and a very good one at this level. But who gives a f***, we're unbeatable.

In billy we trust

I would like to see him stay as it gives us more options, but in billy we trust so who knows!

Didn't SO'D in another managerial position tell Billy when he was having a mardy that when he played without heart he was just a fat lad from Sheffield?
Perhaps this is why he didn't get on at Southampton - heart not in it when he was "rested".
I loved watching him earlier in the season, when he was fired up.
Perhaps he has the same sort of personality as Camp...
Hopefully Billy Davies can sort out Sharp's attitude (if it is that that needs sorting).
Of all the players, I think BS reacted most negatively to the sacking of Sean.
I do want him to recover his form and attitude, and to sign for us... but at the moment I am in the "he wont be here after May" camp

Did you not see what Cox did, to set up our winning goal?

Cox is a fantastic player, got a feeling that when he does score, it will open the floodgates
