According to Radio Trent this morning, Billy is unwell, and Ned Kelly will take the team for the match against Barnsley.

Anyone else hear this?

Its on the NEP boards in town as well.

I wondered why the BD interview that has been popping up on here of late was missing.

Probably got that man-flu bug that is going round. Bloody deadly if not caught in time

He went to see his doctor, who advised and recommended some time off work.

Staying away from the the workplace is usual with a virus isn't it? to prevent everyone else getting it.

Yep. It must be a conspiracy, he's had about 2 bouts of flu in over a year... ?

He's obviously faking it. Suffering from the flu? Bollocks! All he's got is a runny nose!

:nowink:

I dont think it will have much effect on the players; they will have been told the tactics etc all week so dont really need him there on the day. Ned will know how to change things around during the match if it isnt going to plan anyway.

I blame doughty. He probably gave billy this illness on purpose, to sabotage him.

Its those dark forces again- this time in viral form.

Obviously what's happened is they've shrunk Mark Arthur down using a shrinking ray, and sent him into Billy Davies' intestinal tract where he's current doing an irish jig. It's the oldest trick in the book.

I think you've nailed it. It explains why I saw mark arthur running out of blockbuster on lenton lane, clutching a copy of Innerspace.

What a dastardly deed.

If you're ill you're ill not much can be done about it. Barnsley would be one of the worst places to go if you were ill as well.

The truth is this. Billy tried to get a permanent cold back in August but the Virus Acquisition Panel were having none of it. This latest cold is on loan until the New Year and although Billy is quite pleased with it he remains concerned that it is not as good as a permanent cold and the VAP has let him - and all of us - down again. Billy has recommended at least five different viruses that he would like to contract in January and he is hopeful - but not confident - that Prof Arthur and Dr Pleat will secure at least three of them.

I dont remember winning when billy wasnt there but i remember us drawing away at derby in the cup when he was looking after his son.

Yeah but when joe kinnear had a sick day half the fans were over the moon because they realised we might actually have a chance of winning without that idiot in the dugout.
