Billy Davis' Post match comments on Sky Sports News

I watch the results come in on Sky Sports news every Saturday and I was a bit concerned about Billy's comments. He stated that we have a young side (which I know) but that to develop we need a few new faces to add depth. Which we do as we have one of the smallest squads in the Championship, it just seemed to me like he was trying to give a message- maybe to the board. He did seem hacked off!

I worry with Billy as I don't see him as a stable manager, I'm just worried that if he doesn't get these players... will he walk?

Any ideas???

Yes Billy DAVIES will walk but thats okay because MON and Robbo are on the way so its all cool and the gang!

There was absolutely nothing new about the comments that Billy Davies gave in his post match interview. He has stood firm from the beginning concerning the needs for the club in the form of new signings. Billy has been known to use and manipulate the media to strengthen his opinion outside of the boardroom and should you care to read between the lines, then this is all about adding pressure.

Billy won't walk away. He had a job to do and he'll do it with or without investment.

Please excuse my dyslexia in the title 'Davies'. I understand that putting pressure on is all part of a game plan, but he did it earlier with Shorey whilst we were supposedly in contract negotiations with him then he signed for WBA. I just think he might be doing it too much and maybe making us sound a bit desparate. Billy has a firey persona which is a times an asset, but sometimes he looks like he's chucking the toys out of the pram!

I don't believe that Billy played any part in the decision for Shorey to sign for West Brom. I understand that Shorey loved his time at Forest yet it was made clear that he wanted a Premiership club and the wages to go along with it, neither of which we were able to offer at the time.

Billy is Billy. He was as he is before he came to Forest and he will fight for what he believes to be true to satisfy his own position whilst managing the squad and achieving his, and our, mutual objectives.

Ha Ha - Just heard Warnock and the presenters on Talksport having a laugh about Billy always wanting more players and always moaning about the Acquisitions Committee.

Bit rich coming from the king of moaning

Colin ****er can shut up, although he won't.

Billy always makes these stupid comments in post match interviews he's done since he came here.

he has a grin on his face when he says them half of the time

It's blatently obvious now Billy and the TAP/board don't see eye-eye. Whether on player valuation or other.. He wont walk but he'll get the point where he says too much and then the club will have to negotiate a release by "mutual consent". I just hope O'Neill is still available when this happens..

Sheesh, if O'neill left villa because Lerner wouldn't let him pay more wages then how long would he last at forest?

After listening to him for a couple of years now, what is blatantly obvious is that everything billy davies says is designed to divert media attention away from his players. Whether it's on to him, the board, the (alleged) AP or nigel clough doesn't matter to him, the important thing is that it's not on the players. You can see it because the outrageousness of what he says is proportional to how bad the result was, eg knee-gate.

Change the title of this thread to 'lets all state/repeat the obvious'
At the time of my post the thread starter had made 16 posts. Why dont you **** off to the 'DramaQueers Forum' for those that know it all?

Billy Davies doesn't see eye to eye with the TAP.

Billy Davies is ON the TAP.

Ergo, Billy Davies doesn't see eye to eye with himself.

Can't say I've noticed that much of a squint in the photos lately.

Billy's comments and rhetoric are now so dull and predicatable, I'd almost say he follows his countrymens stereotype as a bunch of miserable bastards.

To the board. This man is not a Forest fan, or a director, shareholder. Why is he still at Nottingham Forest?
When the time does come for him to leave (most managers have max three seasons in the champ) I won't give a toss, and maybe, jsut maybe there maybe a little more optimism around the place rather that the infection of negativity Billy seems so adament to tranpose on the club at the moment

Since when does a manager need to be a 'fan' of the club they manage?

Billy is 'still at Nottingham Forest' because he's employed by the club to do a job and he signed a contract which he will honour.

I suspect your opinion may well change should Billy lead us to promotion. The vibe on the forum will change to a more positive one as soon as we have a couple of wins under our belt so hang on in there.

nothings going to happen now til December the 3rd at the earliest,Doughty knows exactly what hes doing

Sooo... which forest supporting manager would you suggest we get?

We're not that skint are we!?

Worst post ever. Congratulations.

worst review of post ever. Well done, you must be proud.

Get a grip people. Billy is off, very very soon. The sooner it happens, the quicker the club can move on. I'm sick of him.

No one is bigger than Nottingham Forest. Doughty knows this, that's why Billy's ego won't be masssaged in Nottingham
