Hope thats true as I couldnt help thinking the worst such as he fell out with Doughty over a potential transfer and got mardy and there is more than meets the eye. I heard a rumour that was what happened.

I find it strange that we have heard nothing, not even from the OS. I would have thought something would have been mentioned.

There was an interview in a Scottish paper over the weekend so it's nothing sinister involving a bust up with the chairman or anything else the derby fans are trying to make up.

If it was the evening post which had the interview then it may well be more to it but the fact it's not makes it a million more times believeable - article here

His son was clearly ill enough to have had a major operation.

Staff are entitled to there private lives.

Agreed. Im one of Billy's supporters, but just something I heard. I didnt really believe it as it is an odd story to make up as a smokescreen.

That articel suggest he wont be there tomorrow night though either.

Doughty treated Billy Davies like we all hope any Employer would treat ourself in the midst of a serious family crisis................Don't worry about work, get it sorted out and see you when you are ready.

Coupled with problems for Wes Morgan on the same night, just a horrible coincidence.

Nothing sinister what so ever.

Does this mean he won't be able to get a ticket for the Derby match?

Edit: (no wonder my post ... ...etc...)

This is reading rather a lot into something quite innocent. You're not even putting two and two together, you're imagining the two and two exist.

And we all agree that was the right course of action whatever the result would have been.
