Big week ahead?

I'm not sure if any one realised, but on the Monday 28th of June last year we announced the signing of David McGoldrick, sharply followed by Adebola, Anderson and Camp all within the same week. Many people had been suggesting that these signing had been tied up weeks before this date, and the delay was due to season ticket renewal timing etc... sound familiar.

Its probably not relevant but here we are on Monday 29th June, Wee Billy has reportedly returned from holiday this morning, and I for one need cheering up after yesterdays dismal afternoon.

What does everyone think? have we been holding back signings as we did last year? Are we likely to hear anything this week? are the new kit launches actually going to be when we play Burnley and Leeds?

Well if we were using cynical marketing reasons (Forest, never!) you could look at it and say that Season Ticket renewals have just closed, and that from Saturday, new applications are available.

So, if you were Forest, and wanted to "drum up some trade" as it were, if we have indeed signed someone other than Radoslaw Majewski, then this week - at some point - would be a very good time to announce it.

Of course, whether we have signed anyone else is still up for debate! :)

Coaching staff all due back today planning the pre-season training etc (heard another rumour Billy may not be) - but I am sure he will want to speak to all the players and staff at some stage soon even if he is not heavily involved in pre-season work

Players back later this week

Anybody we have already signed will be with them - even an Evening Post journalist may be able to get a story then !!

If boyd appears we must be taking up our option because we were only due to pay his wages til end of June (not holding my breath though)

Hope to get some inside news soon now everybody is coming back to work !

Not necessarily, it came out last year that Blackstock was our 1st signing and he was the last announced. He even played a preseason friendly for QPR which must have been after he signed for us.

its ok, i don't think it affects the amount of work time - i think the extensions are applied to evenings and the weekend
