Best pub for away fans?

Got a friend coming down for the Sheff Wed game and wanted to go for a drink beforehand. He will also be with his friend who has a 14 year old son. Was wondering where the best place would be to go for a drink before the game. Dont often go for a beer beforehand so not up to scratch on where the best place to take them would be and a lady form work said to me that most places surrounding the ground ask for you ticket to make sure your a home fan although again I dont know how it all works.

Dont want to be upsetting anyone or getting turned away because I am with away fans. He has told me they wont be wearing any team colours or anything as well if it helps.

Lady Bay on Trent Boulevard - lots of away fans in there most matches (wearing colours isn't a problem) and if you get there early enough you can park there and pick up your car after the match.

Lady Bay is a good shout :)

Pretty sure the Globe don't mind away fans.

The 'away pub' seems to be the 'stick-to-the-floor-tastic' Wheelers Bar at Lego Lane, but I wouldn't recommend that!

Yep the Lady Bay is a very friendly pub and there's usually away fans in there, often wearing their colours. There's a good atmosphere in there too on matchday.

Cool and cheers for your replies. Just didnt want to take them somewhere were some small minded fools might start giving them abuse or being general dickheads

Sure your Sheffield lads will enjoy the "Propaganda"

Personally South Bank all the way.

Flowerpot mate, city dentre. Walk straight in there, talking about Forest, no problems.

Why not? They should be used to it where they come from.

I'd recommend Hooters on London Road. It's the perfect place for a 14 year old lad visiting Nottingham for the first time for the talent to gorp at, whilst you can enjoy both that, and a pint.

If you are not wearing any colours, then most pubs will let you in on showing your match ticket, if its a HOME end one, im sure you could get all of you in just by showing your ticket.

Don't send away fans to the Lady Boy.

I met Andy in the Lady Boy and he did unspeakable things to me in the toilet.
