Larwood and voce I believe, as you won't be let in most places if you wear away colours

I think it's now called Sven's Lair. Sol Campbell helped to redecorate it. :leacock:

Definitely only Notts County's club for away fans, all the other pubs in the vicinity of the ground ar home only, and most, if not all will have bouncers on the door checking tickets etc.

Medz bar near the station?

They'll be eaten alive in there won't they?

Surely they'll all enjoy a pint of Magpie ale in a pub formerly known as the Magpie or some other such rubbish.

That pub looks like one of the most dodgy pubs in town by a mile :)

I wonder if we could find a bar whose sports teams haven't won any awards for 40 years, and send them there. They'd feel right at home, staring at an empty trophy cabinet.

Could always try The Riverway in The Meadows, or Poets Corner :D

My dad took me into Poet's corner when I was about 12 as he didn't know the local area. Was definitely an experience. Had a old bloke called "Punch" try to teach me how to box and another random P8ssed bloke going round each table singing to them in turn. O and some bloke was selling nicked TV's outside the front door.

That's exactly like Newcastle on a Saturday night.

Nowt wrong with the Medz! :)

Haven't been in there this season yet though!!

As for Newcastle fans, head for Notts County's Meadow club. If your arriving by train you'll more than likely be escourted there anyway!!

All pubs around the ground will have bouncers on, so no chance of you getting in most!

Last time I went in Poets, which would have been around 13-14 years ago, you had to press a buzzer to get in, and because of the police they had to close at 7pm every day!

Ha, A friend of mine's dad used to run the Poets in the early 80's. I remember we met up there once when I was 14 on the way to West Brom, even as a young 'un I thought it looked rough!

Isn't there a pub next to the Notts club house thing. I think they brew their own Magpies Ale and stuff. Maybe they'd let away fans in too, and you could get proper beer.

I imagine there must be some more provision given the likely volume and demand of away fans, but Notts' bar is a good place to start - it's even the right colours for you!

Don't they sell Sven Cider and Munto malt Whisky is there too?
