Really? I was very underwhelmed by the Bluebirds this season - have seen them in more impressive form on previous visits.

Must admit, the Leeds fans impressed me last season - probably because we'd had a spell of not having any really well established big followings coming to us for a while. So I'd probably go with them.

In terms of most likeable fans, definitely Yeovil. I'm pretty sure by 'best' we're talking about loudness/passion.

Celtic......absolute head cases and what noise!

Unquestionably, bar none. When they were here in '83 it was on a different level to anything we'd seen before, or after.

I was only 10, but remember it really well. They were all f***ing nutcases. When they spilled out onto the pitch, I remember my Dad said to me that I'd remember this day for the rest of my life, and I have.

Domestically, Stoke used to be pretty passionate, especially when bursting into a 'Delilah'.

Not the best fans but I remember Leicester brought 5 thousand in the Carling Cup last season. Also Wolves brought 5,325 last month.

I'm sure it might have been even more than that.

They were shit for the 1 1/2 games, though. That's the fans and their team. God knows how we lost.

I dunno why but I always remember a game in the early/mid 90's when West Ham brought a load up and made a racket.

Julian Dicks scored a thumping free kick and they all went bonkers.

I reckon you judge 'best'ness obviously by numbers, and noise, but most importantly by noise when there's nothing to shout about. I'd say our fans blow hot and cold for this. Our away following is usually awesome, and sometimes away days just take off. I remember chanting for like half an hour in a pretty meaningless game away at Grimsby, but we just never stopped. Bizarelly I often think there's a kind of ghostly lack of atmosphere at the Derby games, as if it's almost too built up to enjoy and fans are just stood up for 90 mins glued, rather than being on the edge of their seats so to speak.

Anyway for me Sheffield United, begrudgingly, must be crowned the most consistent and loudest fans at the CG in recent years. I guess circumstances like them being decent recently, close proximity, and a new rivalry after 'those' games has led to this.

Other notable fans, Wolves. An FA cup game many seasons ago when Adam Proudlock scored sticks in my mind. Only about 17,000 were there, of which 4,000 off must have been wolves fans. They stood out massively that day, and to be honest are probably a bigger club than theyre given credit for.

I thought they were poor when they played at our ground this season. I expected alot of noise to be made but our fans and theirs wer surprisingly quiet.

Swindon were good when they came and got beat 7-1, I think they scored when we were 6-0 up and went mental like they'd just won promotion. Was obviously meant in jest but was pretty funny.

i remember one game think it was against newcastle when we were in the old first division before the premiership...we had the old standing area for the bridgford end so i am going years back, but im certain the newcastle fans decided to climb the floodlights and hang off them !!

im not saying that this adds to great support but the image of a load of geordies being monkey hangers will stay with me..

I remember being impressed with Leeds in the FA Cup in 1989. I had never seen us play Leeds at home before.
Crystal Palace in the Simod Cup the same season bought about 5000+ which I thought was very impressive.

That was a good one. I remember walking into a massive running battle whilst making my way to the CG outside Metz bar just down from the train station and never running so fast back towards Broadmarsh in my life.

I also remember that as they had the whole of the Lower Exec, Forest fans were pissing on them from the Upper Exec.

Ah, those were the days!

I remember that, not long after the new Trent End opening.

Also when Sunderland beat us 3-0 in '98, I thought they were pretty good.
