Billy did play Ando on the left and Cohen on the right last season. It didn't work - made us really narrow when we were doing fine exploiting the flanks. We stopped winning by three goals+ at home when Billy tried this.

I think Earnshaw is class - i wouldn't drop him. But that's just me.

I agree....
The fact is our midfield did not contribute enough goals last season. You simply cant rely on them to score goals, therefore Blackstock and Earnshaw up front with Raddy just behind.
Earnshaw scores for fun in this league.
Always a starter for me.

What? Our best run of home form came when those two were in those positions, obviously they swapped over occasionally but generally they were on the 'wrong' sides. With those two, especially Cohen, looking to drift inside it gave the full backs plenty of space to overlap and exploit the space ahead of them. The reason it stopped working as well is because we lost the left back and all of a sudden lost the width in our play down the left.

dont forget that our best away performance of the season was when earnshaw DIDNT play and that was against west brom, 451 away from home and 442 at home imho

Not particuarly exciting, but I'm a fan of pick your best team and formation suited for the next opponent.
