EDGAR DAVIDS has been involved in a furious training-ground bust-up at Crystal Palace.

The Dutch hothead, 37, stunned players and staff by grappling with left-back Julian Bennett and shouting: "I'm the boss around here."
Tempers boiled over when Bennett, on loan from Nottingham Forest, blasted the veteran for giving the ball away in a practice session.
Davids, who joined the Eagles in August, took exception to the criticism and squared up to the defender.
The incident took place two weeks ago at Palace's training base near Beckenham.
A witness said: "Edgar hasn't had the best of times since joining us.
"I think Bennett's comment was possibly a step too far and he just flipped.
"He went over to Bennett, grabbed him and started screaming 'I'm the boss around here'.
"Everybody was stunned and nobody quite knew how to react - before a few of the other lads then jumped in and pulled them apart.
"Players argue in training all the time but Edgar just flipped."
Davids was sent home from Euro 96 for slating Dutch coach Guus Hiddink.
And, while at Tottenham, reports claim he came to blows with Robbie Keane in another training-ground row in 2005.

good lad julian; dont take no crap from that past it git. Davids needs to learn that u r the boss at that place because u r on loan from the us.
 
My money would be on Jules; Davids, for all his bluster, is only something like 5'8" or thereabouts.

Julian is a big lad!
 
I don't blame Davids, Bennet is a prize one and contemptible chav scum. He's probably quite capable of making Davids look past it though.
 
Nice work Jules. Clearly "Mr Big" didn't get past Jules and had a moan at him.
 
LOL Bennett would kick his ass. If the story is true and Bennett had a go at him because he lost the ball cant see what the problem is. Back int day when I used to play football and you lost the ball it was common to hear one of your team mates screaming at you
 
Davids was the main squabbling little bitch behind the infamous dutch training ground capitulations. Bennett should have wedgied his face with those daft glasses.

I met Jules once and he's about as far away to 'chav scum' as you can get.

He was very nice and extremely humble.
 
I know a few people who've met him and said the same, don't tar his personality with his appalling dress sense lol
 
Have met him a few times at the junior reds open days etc - he was always the friendliest one with the kids, nice bloke.

Well, fair enough, I've not met him. I was going off the facts that he talks like a chav, carries himself like he's got a boulder of a chip on his showder and that ... well ... lots of footballers are overpaid arrogant ****s :)
 
Nah, he's a good chap is our Jules. A relative of his works at my good lady's school and he's never turned them down to do something for them.

Besides which, he gave Davids a bollocking which must have been satisfying for him. I'll wager Edgar doesn't try and take the ball past him in the next training session :D

My girlfriend used to go to school with bennett, and she says hes always been a nice lad. Ive met him a couple of times as well, and hes always been really friendly.
 
Just goes to show you shouldn't judje a book by it's cover or it's chav language, brap.
