Believe It Or Not!

Holt Agogo n Tyson

First Team Squad
Just been down to pick up my season ticket with my mate and we seen Chris Gunter coming out of the car park in a white Audi. He was then followed by, Wilson, Wes, Garner, Davies (With his crew cut hair style), McGugan and Tyson. Then all the youngsters started coming out. Does this mean Gunter is on his way, i am gathering that nobody is believing me. But im being 100% serious!

Well if it was him and this is true, then it makes sense that as isn't today an optional/fatties first day of pre-season? good to see a number of players there for it if they weren't asked and if Gunter was there, then excellent.

I do hope you understand though that I will not jump for joy until it appears on the OS

No wonder my post count..
3400 posts swings the needle on the bullshit-ometer to false.

Let's hope it's true!

Wouldn't they be at the training ground instead of the City Ground?

Depends.

They normally park at the CG and walk down the side of the Trent to the training ground. However, when BD came in, in January, they started training at the Academy.

Are you sure it was Gunter?

For what it's worth, he has posted a lot, and whilst most famed for putting cup draws on youtube, I don't think he's ever posted a rumour that was clearly made up.

That's not to say this is implicitly true, and we have to take it with a pinch of salt, as if the guy was driving out of the car park, it is possible that he was mistaken for Gunter, rather than it actually be Gunter, if that makes sense.

I don't doubt that you saw someone you thought was Gunter, and knowing how you are about Forest you are probably able to spot him at 100 yards, but there is always the possibility that you mistook someone else for him, if that makes sense.

Isn't the gym at the City Ground? Training would have been in the morning anyway I'd have thought, so being at the CG in afternoon isn't that far fetched!

pleeeeeeeeeeease be true!

Have they reported back for pre-season training yet?

If it was indeed Gunter he could of been with the players purely as mates? Although that wouldn't explain why they were all at The City Ground! Hopefully we have tied up a season long loan for him, don't see why not as he was pretty keen to come back after last season.

The fatties have yeah. And anyone else who fancies it I think. Which would explain why Tyson was there, extremely professional bloke

Accordng to this he drives a BMW X5.

It is from January though so he could've traded down so as not to make his Forest team mates feel bad.

Do hope he was there though. At least this has made me hope and a little more optimistic.

Gunter is the loan player that impressed me the most last season.

I hope he's here but I'm not getting carried away.

Don't know if this lends weight or not but I did see quite a lot of players walking back from the training ground along the Trent at lunch. I only got close enough to the youth players at the back to see faces.

I might see McGugan tomorrow then when I renew my season ticket.

Whenever I go past the City Ground entrance (probably about 3 lunchtimes a week) I rarely see loads of people milling about there. Maybe somebody at the cashpoint and the lads from the carwash / garage kicking a ball about in the street.

So ... why is it when rumours start, everyone seems to know someone who happened to be loitering around the City Ground at exactly the same time??
It doesn't happen, people don't just doss around there looking into cars to see if one of the passengers might be a footballer.

I'm not targetting anyone in particular here, but these "my mate said they saw him at the City Ground" posts?? They carry very little weight with me, because contrary to popular belief, the corner of Pavillion Road is not a busy area, and it certainly isn't a hive of people spotting football players to tell their mates about.
