BD's Sub Decision Making

Did anyone see first Chambers stand up ready to come on, appeard to get instructions, then sat down, then 5 minutes later Adebola and then finally Garner who eventually came on? Was this some sort of tactic from BD, especially considering Calderwood knows our team so well? :D

I think the Adebola/Garner decision was taken because Mckenna had taken a knock.

They were going to bring on Adebola - for presumeably Dexter who looked knacked.

Then McKenna pulled something in his leg, so they brought him off.

Chambers was probably just off for a lash.

I think much changed when Ando got his knock.. Adebola was coming on then, but he put on McGoldrick instead...
Same with McKenna when he picked up something...
Tyson was running on empty for the last 30 minutes, so would like to think that he was the one being replaced instead of Ando, who was still showing great energy!

i took it as being chambers was coming on as soon as BD saw jonas was coming on (chambers right back gunter going to left back), so we then had 4 actual defenders at the back, BD i assume thought jonas would play right wing, then he played left anyway and mckenna took a knock so BD changed his mind

ive seen it happen many times this season, 1 player is ready to come o then something happens to change BD mind

Chambers got up because Kelvin Wilson got a nasty kick to the calf.

The physio told Billy to give him two, which he did while preparing Chambo, but Wilson was fine to carry on.

Sub decision making is another of BD's many strengths. Though I guess a lot of it comes down to common sense..

Chambers sat down as soon as Newcastle made a sub. Now I just put it down to that substitution making BD change his mind. Adebola then was gonna come on and McKenna quickly ran over to stop him making the sub and they quickly adjusted and put Garner on.

I put that down also to McKenna taking a knock.

You are all wrong...

FACT: Calderwood is obsessed with playing Chambers, however unnecessarily.

FACT: Calderwood was there yesterday, and would undoubtedly have been monitoring the Forest bench for signs of activity

FACT: Getting all excited about Chambers and then him not coming on would have made Calderwood feel sad.

FACT: You aren't at your best in any role when you feel sad.

Chambre's yo-yoing from the bench was nothing to do with affecting the match, rather the Orange Marvel's ability to manage his team during it.

Maybe Luke was just getting up to reserve a sunbed for Colin? :D

I can't remember Billy making a bad substitution though - he always seems to bring the right player on?
