hi right just abit of info for people coming in cars to the game on saturday at barnsley they do have an away car park right next to the ground or you can park in the leisure centre if you get to ground early the charge for both is £3 a car £6 mini buses and £10 big buses now for a little bit more just before you get to the leisure centre and away car park some lads and a blonde lass have opened a little car park up and charge upto £5 to park in it you dont get any ticket or anything as you do on the away car park and on the leisure centre dont like getting ripped off so hope this helps you also dont park in town centre as again you will be ripped off and goodluck saturday and i think it will be close but a 2-1 win for barnsley

Last season we just parked on a side street close to the pub we were aiming for for free with no problems!
 
I've got a question that I haven't seen elsewhere, basically I wondered if I'd be able to pay at the turnstyle?
 
Under Away Tickets on the OS

We have received an allocation of 2,000 unreserved seat tickets for the North Stand (located behind the goal).
Forest supporters will be able to pay cash at the turnstiles on the day at Barnsley. However there will be no under 12 price available. All other prices will remain the same as advance sales from the Nottingham Forest ticket office.

Tickets will remain on sale at the Nottingham Forest ticket office till 4pm on Friday 15th October. Supporters unable to visit the City Ground ticket office in-person can purchase tickets over the booking line (0871 226 1980) till this time, then collect tickets on the day from the Main Reception at Barnsley.

Tickets purchased through the Nottingham Forest ticket office are on general sale priced at:
£25.00 Adults
£13.00 Seniors (60 years of age and above)
£13.00 Juniors (under 18 years)
£7.00 Juniors (under 12 years)*

you should be able too as its not all ticket but you can ring barnsley football club on 01226 211211 and just ask them they will tell you
 
Cheers for info Barnsley fan. I'm coming on train. If I can get past the ridiculously over zealous police and avoid having to drink in that souless leisure centre again like the year before last have you got any tips for me regarding pubs in the town to drink in? Me or my friends won't be in colours nor will we be looking for bother.

Your advice on pubs we should avoid at all costs? Away friendly pubs (if they exist in Barnsley towards us "scabs"!!) or just good pubs with nice ale would be really appreciated. I have had a few enjoyable trips to Barnsley over the years and enjoy it as a "proper" away day but can never remember where I've been drinking the year before.

On a footballing note. How are Barnsley playing this year? Any players we should be wary of / watch out for? Is Robins popular? How has Gary O'connor done since you took him on loan?
 
Gobias: There's a pub just up the road from the station that welcome away fans, will find out the name but remember you come out the station and head towards the stadium. When you get to the island turn right and walk about 100m up along the main road and you'll find the pub.

Nice and clean, good selection of beers, good food and if its a nice day a nice beer garden and views

not really I was a bit drunk by the time I got there after the game lol
 
as for pubs if you dont like the metrodome dont go unless your told too like others say outpost is alright plus the dove inn

we are playing good at home lost our first home game to cardiff and the ref mr kettle players to watch out for hammill,wood and Jim O'Brien yes robins is doing a very good job here and most of the fans like him as for o connor played well aagainst leeds in his first game but thats about it hes now gone back to birmingham

I've brought a headset for when I'm playing on MW2 and oh how it's fun getting people telling me they are coming to find me and punish me lol
 
Over recent years I have found Barnsley the most aggresive when it comes to the scab chants. So all those making the trip make sure to wind them up as much as possible!
