Barnsley are currently advertising that all tickets in the Home end will be £5.

Am I correct in thinking that they can only charge Forest fans the same price as the most expensive home ticket?

If this is true then shouldn't the away end also be £5?

I have contacted the Forest ticket office and they state it is £19 for us.

Ive got my for £19 too.. if they announce a reduction ill go mad.

If they announce a reduction you will be able to get a refund.

Those people who had already bought their tickets for Barnsley before it was announced that they would be cheaper for anyone who witnessed the debacle at Burnley have been able to get a refund.

Wouldn't be much of a consolation for those who witnessed that day if everyone's tickets are reduced in price though!

I can almost hear the Chuckle Brothers rubbing their hands with glee at the money they will be saving.

I doubt many would be upset paying £2.50 instead of £9.50 though.

It looks like our prices are staying the same anyway as it's a "local promotion" but I would imagine they'd knock down or refund coach travel of something if it did happen.

Anyone know if I claim to be a Forest fan living in Barnsley can I get mine for £5? ;D

I don't live in Barnsley but I'm sure I could arrange a postcode.

They get cheap tickets whilst we have to pay full price. Then there going to be outside the ground collecting for one of there fans whos lost his job. Maybe they could pay full price for there tickets and give the difference to him.

Sent an email to barnsley and got this reply

We have decided to offer reduced price tickets to our loyal supporters to help through this difficult financial time. Under FA rules we are allowed to reward our supporters up to 3 times per season without extending the offer to visiting fans.

Bit out of order really, especially considering we did £10 across the board against them. Still hold a grudge for the miners strikes it seems. Shame really, since I wasn't born then and I would bloody love a little £5 ticket, pathetic, small town mickey mouse outfit!

What get me though is there expect a lot of trouble at the game. Surely this will make matter worse because some forest fans will choice to sit in the home end and save £14. A good few pints that.

If we are in the same league as them next season I think it would be only right for us to charge them £10 extra to recoup the reduction we gave them.

Sadly your probably right, Barnsley away is probably the worst for all the scab and miners strike crap. Wouldn't be surpriced if many of those views are still held within the club when it comes to all things Nottingham. Just adds to the ill feeling which im sure some idiots will exploit on the day. Given our gesture earlier on in the season they should have treated us the same. That would have been the right thing to do

Yup. Pretty pathetic if this is the case, after all these years. Oh well, after the game they'll all be £14 up on us, but that's little comfort to them all as they all have to live in Barnsley, and most of us get to go back to Notts. Thanks for nothing Barnsley, but who's won really? :D

If we play them next year it should be a catagory gold and platinum with 15 flawless diamonds... But a £5 local offer for home fans.

Won't Forest serve to save money if they were able to exploit the Barnsely offer because they will have to contribute less to the tickets for those that went to Burnley?

Am I being cynical in thinking that the only reason the club appear to be looking after the interests of the fans is because it will save them some money! They usually don't give a shit!

It does sound like Forest are planning on doing this back to Barnsley then ...

I can't believe they are not extending the offer to away fans when we let them in for a tenner earlier in the season ...

Still thanks to our mauling at Burnley I get in for £9.50 anyway! ;D

We should also charge every single one of their none playing staff full price admission if we do play them next season.

Yep, I'd make it a 'category A' game, meaning £30 tickets, then I'd give them the smallest possible allocation and push them right into the corner a la Yeovil last year. Then let Forest fans in for £5/£10 and let them sit behind the Bridgford goal.

We wont do that, but I hope we do!
