Anyone have a good idea of how many we are going to take to Barnsley on the 16th.

On the website it says the away end can house up to 6,000 and also does anyone know how many tickets they will sell us for this game.

P.S - How many did we take last season?

Thanks :)

hope the leisure centre is open again for away fans and they have the snap on. Them pork cobs was banging!

There were nowhere near that many last season but it was a tuesday night.. we found a lovely pub up there though thanks to The Vicar :)

get in the leisure centre they have the lot, food, booze, and a nice open space to stand about and look hard.

I purchased my ticket for this one earlier on today, this is a pretty local game for me from my new home in Leeds.

Don't drink in the leisure centre as advised above. We ended up in there two seasons ago and you pay around £3.50 for a Carling served in a shitty plastic cup. Make a stop in Sheffield where there's a plethora og good pubs and catch a late train over to Barnsley.

Last season we took about 2500 if I remember correctly. The year before about 4k. I imagine it will be roughly this figure in 3 weeks time. Barnsley will sell us 6k tickets if required (which it won't). And if required (which it won't be) they would give us part of the old stand down the side. However I don't think they will make tickets available on the day for some reason.

i will not have a bad word said against the leisure centre. It's a shame more away trips don't have such things on when you get there. Like hull was good with the phoenix night style club.

Indeed. I shall probably be doing Sheffield before as don't fancy being herded into a sports hall to drink from a plastic glass as I was the season before last.

Would rather be left to me own devices in Barnsley town centre to be honest. Ok a bit rough and ready but all good.

We found a decent boozer up the hill from the ground, a few leisurely pints and an amble down to the ground with no bother at all.

their locals are abit....

The way the police often insist on escorting football fans from the train station is a breach of human rights in my opinion. Why should they be allowed to insist on where you go and often put a real dampner on the day out?

Absolutely. I tend to be OK normally as I come on a different train than the one from Nottm and have a non Nottm accent so can blend into Yarkshire pubs almost unnoticed especially if I don't wash and wear my dads donkey jacket. But occasionally the police can be pretty insistant on wrecking your day out which is annoying.

You can always just lie and say you're not going to the game if you don't have any Forest gear on. We've done that several times to escape the coppers.

the police look at these broads and now they know where you'll all be going, they will be waiting for you and march you'll to the leisure centre.
