AWAY TRAVEL Palace, Cardiff, Boro

Hi guys.
As some of you may know we run a bus from Test Match, West Bridgford. Only started this year and seems to be going well.
At the moment we also pick up in Arnold (Old Spot).
We are a decent bunch who look for decent pub in a sleepy village with a nice beer and a bite to eat on offer (generally a 10-15 drive from the ground). We have about 30 regulars with a few more who come and go as they can make it.

You interested?? Our only requirements are that you love good banter, good beer and don't whinge about the reds (we can get that from our wives!!).
Drop us a message or pop in and see Alan (Landlord) at the Test Match who will put you right.

Prices for the following trips Palace £15, Cardiff £18 Biro £18. All leaving at a reasonable time so we get a couple of hours in the pub.

Unlike other supporters buses we aim to bring you all back as well ;D ;D ;D

See you soon (Hopefully)
Michael

Unsolicited testimonial - re the away travel. Yesterday - went to P'borough on t'bus. As promised - real ale, sleepy village, decent banter/chat, no bone-heads, friendly atmosphere, back early. BTW, what more could we ask? Oh, and we got there before the convoy! Great.

Where do you pick up from mate?

Would be interested, but am from Long Eaton and get the impression there's no pick up spots that are local? Therefore, no real use for me?

Bestwood Red..

When you travel up to Middlesbrough next month... Make sure your pub stop is in Yarm.. 10miles or so from Riverside Stadium..

Get yourself to the Black Bull (Yarm)!!!...

Ill be there!!!!! :) :) Along with few more Reds!!!!!!!!

No mate, We stopped in a little village called Nassingham.

Also no plans for too many pick ups. and not out to Long Eaton anyway. Could pick up in town if needed.
Cheers

Is that the pub across the road from Sainsburys ? near the old Home Ales place ?

Will you always be picking up from here or just for these games ?

are you saying that you have to be 18 to go on the bus coz of the beer and the pub ? because im 17 and it sounds like its way better than the forest coach travel and about the same price well for palace anyway.

It always picks up from the Old Spot (across from Sainsburys) either on its way back from the Test Match, or on its way to it, and you dont have to be 18 to go on the bus as far as im awar as there have been children on the buses,
There are usually about 15-20 people waiting for pick up at the old spot, this is by far the best bus we have travelled on to away games, its usually the same people too, so we get to know them all and have a laugh on the way, plus there is usually something playing on the dvd player to pass away the time as well as conversation, mickey taking and fighting....( i lied about the fighting)
hope this helps.

Already planning on training it to Palace as it's a one-way trip for me there as we're staying over, and half-plotting a drive to Boro to take in their Cloughie statue en route.

But I WILL give this a go - particularly after the nightmare that was the coach driver on coach two at the weekend. This coach slipped my mind plus my mate organised tickets and whatnot.

I'm tempted to visit this as well,, all depends how early i get up there though.

As for the bus travel,, i may be tempted for the Cardiff match
