Hi guys.
Its me again from Tricky Tree Travel.
What a great result on Sunday, and I don't just mean McGugan caving the hearts of the welsh in.
Before the game we found a village with 27 pubs in,, YES 27, they seemed so proud of that fact (but none of them mentioned why they had 6 fingers and all looked the same!!!)
Well its Boro in a couple of weeks and we are still running the bus, the fact that since we started this venture we have not seen the reds lose on our travels.
Well the bus leaves
THE TEST MATCH at 9am and picks up outside the OLD SPOT at 9.20.
Cost is £16.50.
Will hope to have a great pub ready for us again.
I know I keep saying this but, Its not a bus for lads who just want to get pissed up and annoy everyone, Its for those folk who want a decent pint out of a glass, a bite to eat and some good banter.
Unfortunately the Test Match is closed for a refurbishment until 13th November so you may not be able to just pop in and get a ticket as normal.

We are both at the game on Saturday so ill see you there.

I can vouch for this. Cracking night out too if anyones staying in the area for the night.

Agreed, Yarm is excellent ad that pub will be perfect. See you all at the game as i'm coming from the opposite direction.

Thats the johnny, i never went, although i worked with peole who did and they were always saying how good it was.

Club Tall Trees. Im at uni in middlesbrough and we have our annual sports awards bash there every year! Cracking place, but very expensive. Dont expect much change from a fiver for a pint!

Staying up Friday and Saturday Night in Yarm with the Missus and few more couples, All big Forest Fans..

Shall be out in Yarm Saturday Morning when Pubs open till 1.30ish time then Straight on the Train to Riverside!!!

Lived up there few years back.. Tall Trees what a night but like you guys say a tad expensive!..

New ish place to go (across the road from Black Bull Centre of Yarm) THE KEYS... Bar/Club! Decent night out!

Micheal if you bring your lot to Yarm mate you wont be disappointed.. And might see you there!..

Easy to get to...

Straight of the A19... (A67) for about 3miles.... And thats it...

And when your done.. Continue through Yarm for bout 3miles and join the A66 which takes you straight to Riverside!! (15mins max)

Hopefully see a few Fans there.. (I know most teams use Yarm as a Drink/Grub stop off...)

Can I have 3 tickets for Boro. Went to the pub a couple of times in the hope of catching Alan but he was out. Looks good, ask him for a couple of VIPs for us mate.

Have you talked to StuC about setting up some sort of standardised booking system via the forum whereby people can pay for their tickets through something like paypal, and make a booking directly. You could advertise remaining seats or something in one of the banners.

I'm sure he wouldn't be too unreasonable regarding costs of it, and it could spread your bus to a wider audience, as many people skip over a lot of threads.

Just a thought, like.

A good comment from Rich regarding pay-pal etc. However, I'm not sure we really want a larger audience, as long as the guys can fill the bus by word of mouth and LTLF (unless the plan eventually is to have several buses). Personally, I like the idea of a bus with trustworthy, friendly and bantering fans who can decend upon a little village near the away ground, drink a couple of pints of real ale in a pub which welcomes us. The pub stays in one piece and we go off to the game, usually bypassing police escorts etc. I'm not sure we could do this with more than one bus. To be honest, any of us who go to home games can always pop into the (newly-refurbished) Test Match and speak to Alan directly. BTW, does the 'Wentworth' 11/2 decker still go to away games? The guys on there seemed to have a similar mentality!

Decent pub grub and beer not sure about the choir though :ph34r:

It was also good to see a few new faces and again good vibes from everyone. We hope to see more new faces soon

Was a really good day and will defo be using the service again(tempted by the Sheff United and Swansea offer)

£20 a steal really but silverdale are being really good to us in helping me and alan getting started

What like people throwing up all the way there? (poor old John)

I will certainly spread the word. Paying a booking online should be something you should look into. The only issue with this is vetting what sort of characters you take on the bus
