can someone please get the away fans moved out of the lower bridgeford and not give them stupid amounts of tickets.
at times today it was like we were the away fans, thats how loud the leeds fans were.
that stand has very good acoustics and i feel we are giving visiting teams an advantage buy letting there fans sit there.
i really don't see what the problem would be in giving them the lower clough
 
sod that... give them a few garden chairs and let 'em sit in the car park
 
Weren't Forest supposedly going to limit the number of tickets to away teams after last season?

Surely having such vocal backing gives the away team a lift.
 
we were as loud as hell against Blackpool last season, and look what happened., our players froze
 
All you could hear on TV was when Camp was taking goal kicks and the Dirty Leeds fans constantly swearing!

Billy has mentioned it a few times but as usual the powers that be have decided they know better
 
But it's not like we can fill those seats that would be empty though is it? Say if we gave Leeds 2,000 seats instead of 4,200 we'd still have the same amount of Forest fans. Plus the more seats we're selling to the away fans = more money for the club.

But I do agree though, Leeds defo had an advantage with their large selection of away fans.

i'd rather we gave them 2,000 seats instead of 4,000.
how many clubs give us that many tickets.
i just see it as giving the away team a boost by having so many fans in such a noisy stand.
i know someone has done a list before for the allocation premiership teams give away fans and i think i'm right in saying there are only a couple of clubs that give anything like we give.
i'm a big believer in home fans being behind both goals.
 
healthy & safety bouffons at the club probably have biggest say on these matters and they're most likely a posse of traffic wardens & stewards.
 
I can understand the reasons for not moving the away section from the Lower Bridgford end due to logistics and security etc but why do we need to give them such a high ticket allocation?

I appreciate it's club revenue in an area which we wouldn't have filled. Had the number of away tickets been restricted then we also run the risk of having a high number of away supporters infiltrating within home crowds. All considerations.

I know the club are in favour of having home fans behind both goals but I don't think it's practically possible.
 
I suppose if more home fans attended then we wouldn't have this problem. If you live near Nottingham and you have money in your wallet; get your fat arse down NG2! :D

This is it but then we lead on to the problem that Forest dont do enough to make people want to come and watch...:D
 
I think the whole acoustics thing is just an excuse, to be honest! There were parts of the game were the A & B-Block was just as loud as the Leeds fans. But credit to them! They were loud and vocal the whole game, and even though the Lower Bridgford stand may carry the sound a bit better, we have to admit that they were louder than us for the majority of the game.
 
After watching the highlights on Sky +, we really did get outsung by Leeds and it was laughable tbh. I just don't understand, like BD says, having away fans behind both goals would help a lot. You could clearly see Camp was uncomfortable and the Leeds fans were nearly sucking the ball in.
 
It was embarrassing today, first 20 minutes our support was superb but after that we decided not to sing for the rest of the game. Coincidentally, we started playing **** after 20 minutes as well, although it works both ways i guess.

True that the away fans get the best part of the stadium for acoustics, but it is possible to out-sing large away supports - the season before last up in the Capital One Corner we completely drowned out over 6,000 Wolves fans.

Leeds support was good today, but reading some of their Leeds-mad board, they're getting a bit carried away, they seem to think they're the first away support to ever go to a ground and be loud...

2,000 less tickets = £60,000, factor in food and drink let's say 100k multiply that by 23games and that's nearly 2.5million quid.....very rough figures but just an estimate. We lose money, we don't make it.

we (or rather the fickle ones) didnt fill the the rest of the ground. Lets make money out of the visitors. I wonder how much we would have made in the premier with near full houses every week so any transfers would be paid for . Speculate to Accumulate
 
i understand what people are saying about getting the money into the club, but surely the club could do alot more to entice our own fans to games.
it just annoys me when i see that many away fans, you are giving the away team an advantage before a ball has been kicked.
it would not be so bad if the clubs with give loads of tickets to gave us the same, you can guarantee we will give derby 3500-4000 tickets and in return they will give us 1500-2000 tickets.
we have a big fan base even though our attendance's don't really show this, i know lots of Forest fans who have only been to 2 or 3 games in the last 4-5 years, and all these people i'm talking about used to either be season ticket holders or go to most games.
come on Forest where are you marketing skills?
oh i forgot you haven't got any!
 
Lets face it, the City Ground is normally v quiet. Leeds are always a mouthy bunch of yorkshire ****s.

We need to make more noise, but the same happens when Forest go away when we outsing the home side.

Grounds suck for atmosphere since the terraces got taken away by the scousers. Stupid scousers.
 
Fil makes a valid point - Forest, as far as I can see, don't seem to be making a huge effort to target "new" supporters?

There are of course the inevitable offers for kids, but these are invariably accompanied by full price adult tickets. Much as we mock the sheep, they at least managed to fill their ground.

Forest seem so flat when it comes to marketing the club - I know they've made more effort to reach out to business, but it's the genuine supporters who create the atmosphere (but sadly don't spend as much per-seat as a business customer!)
