The 1974 Pitch invasion by the Geordies was an absolute disgrace. Likewise the bribed Ref that robbed of us the UEFA Cup. Also the pyromaniac that burned down the main stand. Then there was the Walsall fans that hummed the great escape avoiding relegation at our expense. Then, there were the Milwall fans that attacked my old man on his way from their ground. The Bristol fans that smashed up Amicis. The Luton fans that broke Roy Dwight's legs. All the fans that sing songs that begin 'We hate Nottingham Forest'.

As for Wednesday fans, never lived in Sheffield for a long period of time so don't know any!

Never had a problem with any away fans if i'm honest. But then i can count on one hand the amount of away games i've been to.
Everton fans we're only too happy to talk after the game where we beat 'em 1-0 (jan 99). Southend fans were a bit nobby actually, especially a few we encountered near where Dan had parked his car in the town centre.

Best place to meet fans is on England trips, in belfast in 2005 met a group of rotherham fans who was a sound lot we joked about them sending us down.

I went to see Juve vs Inter Milan. this being the time when those two teams were carrying some of the finest talent in the world ! Ronaldo and Del Piero immidiately spring to mind. Although I had my Forest shirt on I have never been so welcomed by any set of fans ever !
Negative side I have to add. Forres Mechanics. Bunch of banjo playing w**kers. If you ever go to a lower league scottish football match just don't speak. Any hint of an English accent and you're in for it !

Never cared much for that lot from Newcastle, looking at the programme now from March 9th 1974, memories of the day still send the old shivers tingling....reds lads were all ripping off the forest badge(old crest one with NFFC between the stags)off their crombies so as not to be ID'd by manic geordies!!!....fantatic away support though, even to the two replays at Goodison.....always liked Everton, SIMOD Cup final day out was a cracking atmosphere with them.

I can't stand your club the majority of your fans, but I have nothing against you.

I think you should embrace it, just as many of our lot do with the hatred we get from them oop in Barnsleh.
There's a rivalry between Forest and Blades, so that, I'm sure, adds to any hatred.
