Away Allocation should swing both ways

Blackpool have only gave us 1600 for the away leg at Bloomfield Road on Saturday. We more than likely going to sit in the uncovered side stand even though we had half of the stand behind the goal a few weeks ago. So for the return leg Forest should listen to what Billy said a few weeks ago by doing the same to the away team and give then 1500 or so in the last block in Brian Clough lower and give Forest fans both ends of the goal. I see this as only fair as we should ensure we have maximum advantage for the second leg.

We have to give 10% of our capacity.

We have to give 10% or 2,000 - whichever is smallest. In our case, 2,000, in Blackpool's case the 10% figure is smaller.

So Forest are doing as best they can. Of course, whether Blackpool will muster as many as 2,000 for a tuesday night is yet to be seen, I suppose that also depends on how the first game goes.

They will shift 2000 tickets whatever the score from the first leg and on a Tuesday I'm pretty confident on that. I wouldn't want them behind the goal though, stick them in the corner in Lower Bridgford and let us have the rest of the seats behind the goal and around towards A-Block.

The NFFC website is selling tickets to home fans in T-Block (last block in Clough Lower )

I would think that theyd easily sell their tickets.

Indeed. In fairness to blackpool, thier ground can only hold something like just over 12,000 at the mo due to construction work. So 1,600 isnt that bad- particuarly if we only give them 2,000 for the home leg.

Aye! I'd expect both teams to give the minimum they can... it makes sense!

Has been confirmed that Forest will give hem 2,000 or is this just speculation? Hopefully it is true and Forest will follow it through. I can't help but wonder that if it was a bigger side with a bigger following that forest would cave in and give 3,500-4,000 away allocation - or maybe I'm just over cynical in my increasing age

It certainly does. If forest do only give 2,000 tickets to blackpool though...will they keep them in the same place- and just put stewards between the 2 sets of fans in the lower bridgford?

I do hope forest dont back track and give blackpool the whole lower bridgford!

Mark Arthur confirmed we'd only give Blackpool 2000 yesterday.

Give them all the lower bridgford f**k it. Makes more of an atmosphere when there's away fans on mass added to what will be a massive game.

I can assure you that Blackpool have given us 1000 tickets ONLY!

They are obliged to give us a minimum of 1200, no less.

As we did with Leicester a couple of seasons ago, 4000-5000 if i remember right.
Didnt they have upper and lower Bridgford end that game?.

The replay of the cup game that was abandoned. Yeah, but there were probably as many Les-dar fans there as Forest that day because there's really only a one-sided interest in that particular East Midlands 'rivalry'.

You are forgetting the clause about separation of fans. if they say thay need to limit our numbers because of safety they can give us as few as they like. Don't forget that a few seasons ago some clubs refused to give Millwall tickets 'for safety reasons' and thre was F.A. the League could do about it.

The 1000 number has come from the club so I can guarantee that it's right!

The only reason that this point is important is so that people don't get the idea that the club fas f**ked up when a lot of people are disappointed.

I'ld prefer this: Has the lower corner ever been used?

Half of those seats in the corner just see the side of the Clough stand. You can see the difference in the seats. I suppose we could sell them as "restricted view" lol

Well there you go then that'll make up for the 800 less we get. lol

That would be my preferred away allocation too.

Will never happen though, and definatly won't happen tis time as they are selling tickets to Forest fans in T-block.

I'm hoping IF we go up, or IF we have an uptake in season tickets next year, the club take a look at their away allocation and amend it to what their doing for the play-off's. Give the away clubs 2,000 and the rest can be for Forest fans.

If we give them 2000 tickets, are we likely to sell 27,000 home tickets for a Tuesday night (albeit play-off) game that is on TV? Im not saying we wont, I just wonder how confident the club are that we will?

Id much rather have a sold out CG for the game, even if it means giving Blackpool more tickets.
