As there's been more talk about new stadium's and ground atmosphere recently, thought this would be a good idea.
I'm not trying to prove a point or make a statement here or anything, I was just interested!

Bit of a moot point, I think using atmosphere as a barometer is a silly argument against a new ground, because aside from sporadic outbursts from limited sections, the City Ground isn't exactly a cauldron most of the time.

However, a good performance will get the place buzzing, a great performance gets the place rocking.

In all honesty, I think the majority of grounds - new or old - are like that to a degree.

lol

Yes, let's all have a good sing song whilst watching us go down, what fun that will be.

I chose the Wigan option.

Bit of a silly poll to be honest. the atmosphere does not improve with the decline in our league position. in fact the reverse is true and regardless nearly everyone is going to vote for automatic promotion :fartlight:
so i voted for relegation just to ruin your stats

I'll go with - "Crap atmosphere, automatic promotion" then get the club to hang microphones down from the roof similar to what they have in the Houses of Parliament with someone turning the volume up whilst we're on the attack or singing.

No microphones though in the away supporters end. ;D

And for us oldies meh?

edit .. I googled it.. "Meh" is an interjection, often an expression of apathy, indifference, or boredom

Trent End and Brian Clough are like morgues anyway nowadays. Could not hear a thing from them on Monday (put it down to combination of quieter supporters now sitting there and stadium design).

In my opinion main stand and Victor Chandler corner by far the best atmosphere.

Victor chandler??? You cant hear anything from there from the Trent End apart from the odd chant of stand up if you hate derby or Billy give us a wave.

Funny how people have different views of certain parts of the ground depending on where they sit. Was sat in main stand on Monday and VC corner seemed much louder than Trent End!

I heard the Trent End a couple of times from VC Corner.

VC Corner makes plenty of noise (acoustics aren't favourable for reaching the Trent End, and vice versa) although the choice and repertoire of chants leaves a lot to be desired. That generally goes for the other chanting areas of the ground though.

I must admit sitting in the Bridgford end you can only hear A=Block , the VC corner and the away fans. Looking at the Trent End always reminds me of some kind of oil painting, there seems to be no movement, no noise... ;D

Where's that two fingers smiley...?!

There's movement, there's noise..

Granted a chunk of it is me remonstrating with & gesticulating at the linesman and/or the ref, but there's noise...

IIRC, Trent End Foghorn is in the upper T5, and rarely stops giving it full voice... Good lad!
