Reading between the lines - does this mean a deal for Lynch or Gunter is sorted for some sort of full back cover?

The fact that we are letting a left back go out on loan means that BD is confident he has that position covered...........interesting

Depends if there's a short-notice recall clause I guess.

He could be moderately confident.

It's a long term loan, so no recall clause.

Length of the contract doesn't matter, the only thing that can prevent a recall clause going in is if the club loaning the player have paid a fee to loan them.

Or if it's just agreed in the deal, like the McSheffrey deal first 28 days

Any loan is protected for the first 28 days even if their is a recall clause in there. Players can go back to their own club in this time but only if the club loaning the player agrees.

I put something about it in a thread when he signed with a link to the FA guidelines on loan trying to kill two birds with one stone (why we didn't loan Camp again in February) like most of my more sensible posts, it got ignored.

Fair enough, i do still think clubs can just agree to a recall clause being included or excluded. But i may be wrong.

Not necessarily, we paid a loan fee for McSheffrey and there was a recall clause in his deal.

Heath is signing a long term loan, long term loans can only take place between Transfer windows, ie Summer to January, or Summer to Summer (season long loan) and you can't recall them inbetween. Those were the rules last year anyway.
