Just reading the Birmingham preview, and the injured list. I saw Davies name and thought, would it make any bleedin' difference if he were fit? The bloke has been either injured or below expectation since we signed him. Time to get rid*?

* I fully expect him to go to some League 1 or 2 team and become their top scorer, as is usual with Forest rejects :)

Sadly, I think he will have to go. His wages could be more gainfully paid to a player with more consistency.
I don't dislike him, I just think he will possibly finish his career still "having potential"

Sadly , where can you find a winger with consistency at this level that does not cost you millions and not in the premiership yet ?

I feel he will go, I do like him, He does needs a bit of confidence I think.
we all know what he can do.

Anderson??, on loan from premiership but still in this division :p

Would he possibly benefit from a loan spell? (When most of our squad are back fit of course)

He'd benefit from a good run of first team games, whether it be with us, or somewhere else. He needs to find match fitness, confidence and form.

Sadly his lack of consistancy and proneness to injury are stopping him from getting the above.

I think I could do more damage coming off the bench. I'm hard pressed to think of a less effective player during my lifetime.

I can think of 1...but only 1 - Brian Cash.

What he said. I think he's a good, fairly talented player - based on what I've seen. He just can't stay free of injury and get a run in the team for us. Unfortunately. I'd think he'd be quite effective if he could.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind if we swapped him in the summer for a winger that would stay fit and play.

I'd rather we had another McLeary/Anderson type of player.

I think he could benefit from a loan move indeed. And see what he is capable of with a run of games. Only once we have a bigger squad though, maybe in the summer indeed.

He is stilll young and not quite the finished article.

McCleary cost ÂŁ20k from the Conference South and is a far better player than Arron Davies.

He'll be 25 in the summer. The deadline for finishing articles has passed.

Davies had the best game of his career against Forest and somehow earned a contract out of it. He has never, in either this league or the one below, looked good enough for Nottingham Forest.

He was just a necessary piece of baggage to attain Cohen. Sounds harsh, but it's true.

It was all to do with fudging the numbers so that Yeovil didn't have to give as much cash to West Ham as part of Cohen's sell-on agreement.

Not according to some of the fans who wants to be rid of both davies and mccleary.

BD has not mentioned him when talking about important players out etc.....so may well get rid. Alternatively may see himself as the manager to get best from him and give him one more roll of the dice.

Totally Agree..

Similar to the Butterworth & Pearce deal, the one we wanted most turned out to be replacable, the other went on to be a Forest Legend..

Had an impressive pre season but when it comes to competitive games he hasn't performed.

We can get better players in but when fit at this point we could use him With the low numbers we got.

Did Baggio's comment touch a nerve marshall?
Unless your name is henry, kaka, messi or ronaldo there is always gonna be a a minority thats dislikes any player. So don't take it to heart

Arron Davies is a mutha 'uckin P.I.M.P - and that is the truth fo sho

Hes out of contract isnt he? He's done absolutley nothing to deserve a new one. I think we all want him to do really well, but its becoming obvious that the game he played against us was the best game he ever had and probably will ever have.
