I was never a fan based on what I saw from him. He came on today and played really well, but it's hard to really judge anything considering we were playing Notts County.
That said, lets see how he does for the rest of pre-season.

Went today and realy enjoyed it especially the first 25 mins of the second half and this guy was one of the main reasons for this.
Obviously its pre season and Notts County so means absolutely nothing in reality but he looked confident and tricky

I think he showed more ability that the much improved MacAtee, and his goal was a thing of beauty

I'm 100% in favour of the lad being given a fair opportunity to stake a claim for a place in the 25, and credit to him for his movement and alertness, but I'd argue that it was a routine, unchallenged finish from a good delivery pretty much screaming-out to be headed.

I agree, but the way he ghosted in leaving the County defenders marking fresh air showed good awareness.
And Bakwa is to my mind the best crosser of a ball we have at the moment.

But seriously, I do think all players need a clean slate under Glasner, at least for a while. Last season was borderline insanity with four managers and a lot of these lads are new to the country.

Oh, I totally agree about the level of opposition being "only County".
Mind you, that was County's 4th friendly, and Forest's 1st, so to a certain extent there was a bit of levelling up.
We had no Sangare, Murillo, Hudson-Odoi, or Chris Wood, plus it was the first game in the post-Anderson era, and we haven't yet replaced him in the squad.
I thought County battled well and showed the benefits of the extra games in terms of fitness, but they are desperately short of any attacking ideas.
Overall, I think it was a decent contest, with Forest's pedigree overcoming the lack of game time they have had, and also the impact of only 7 days under another new manager.

It would be somewhat out of character for us, as a club, to bring any player back into the fold - we've been pretty consistent, even whilst managers have constantly been changing, that once the club has decided a player isn't good enough and needed moving out on loan, pretty much none of them have been given a second chance.

To be fair, there is no evidence the club thought he wasn't good enough - it was Dyche, who thought we would be better off with somebody 10 foot tall.
I'm under the impression that the player thought he wasn't getting enough game time and asked for a move, rather than the club deciding he wasn't good enough.
If it was my decision and Frankfurt failed to trigger the buy option, then the price goes up not down. I certainly hope we don't accept less.

That's pretty much semantics though - if he was good enough, he would have been getting more game time.

That's kind of my point though - we have had many players leave on loan, only to return to a different head coach and they haven't been given chance to reassess them. I don't think OG will be making that sort of decision in isolation either.

We've got nowhere near enough knowledge of internal conversations to know whether that's true or not.
If you take the likes of O'Brien, Dennis, Bowler as good examples of this - all were sent out on loan under Cooper, and while it's true to say that none worked their way back into the first team picture - all were subsequently given at least a couple of pre-season games under Nuno so who's to say whether they were being given another chance to impress or not.

I'm sure I've read previously that the Frankfurt DoF has a reputation of negotiating obligation agreements and then reneging - often persuading parent clubs to reduce the agreed fee. If that is the case then good luck with EM.
