I wonder if Glens surname is Saunders and he's been here in stealth before dropping this bombshell on us.

Of course I exaggerate, I don't really think that.

I thought Glenn had a point to be honest, although he did seem to think that money ought not to be an issue.

Most people do go if they can?

No they don't and I think that's the point. Maybe there are a few excuses like we've been too crap to upset myself over etc. However as we get better (and we will) THERE WILL BE NO EXCUSES!!!!!!

The problem though is that it is the issue for most, that and time. A lot of people have to work or have other commitments.

I imagine all Forest fans wish they could be at every match but circumstance usually dictate why those that can't come don't. I don't think we especially have many what some would call "lazy fans" who don't come because they can't be bothered.

Glenn can you tell us the significance of the many squirrels on this forum?

I think we probably have a fair few to be honest.

Does anybody know what Glenn looks like? Or is he as elusive as the Leeds score?

I think we can always find 'valid' excuses for some who can't come regularly (impotance) BUT there are loads of people who profess to be true reds and don't turn up and don't have any real excuses. There could easily be an extra 10,000 around Nottingham who would be tempted to the Reds if we were in the Prem (and making a fist of it - rather than the embarrassment of the Sheep). the point made on this thread is that big crowds and big atmospheres tend to encourage players and fans who may be inclined to turn up next game.........

No idea what he looks like but if you really want to know you could stake out his guest house in Dublin

I'm having trouble finding statistics on our attendances. I'm trying to find out if we sold out most home games in the season we finished 3rd in the prem under Frank Clark. If we didn't, then there aint much hope of us filling a 40k stadium....Ever.

Apparently we only got 36000 to 38000 in for the Glory days under Pete And Brian.the biggest crowd we have had in the modern all seater is 30073 againest Man Utd in the 98/99 season.

I too am a distant fan. We keep in touch via Internet forum sites but can only manage a few games a season due to costs and travel times.

I f***ing live armchairs, they are great for sitting on and lounging around, and if you are lucky you can find money down the back, but it's usually covered in fuzz of some sort, maybe the same as you find in your belly button

I hope this thread is about being a fan of armchairs and not a Glenesque call to arms of the real fans.

I belong to nobody!!!
I had been a season ticket holder for the past 6 seasons. The only reason I did not renew was due to more important things in life, mainly affording to live.

Don't tell us to get down to the City Ground, I would love nothing more to be sat in my seat in the Trent End this season. But like SHJ said:

I don't buy that. It's not that expensive. £350 works out at £6.71 per week when split over the year. How many people really can't afford that?

People who say they can't afford it find money for other things like smoking, drinking and buying things like CD's, DVD's, PS3's XBOX's.

We should have bigger crowds the population of Nottingham is 288700, Newcastles is 259,500 yet they get bigger crowds.
