Are we finally getting the media on our side?

Having just read this glowing write up from The Beeb - are we finally getting some recognition?

While Forest were not a constant goal threat at the Liberty Stadium, with McGoldrick's goal a rare opening, they kept a dangerous team like Swansea at arm's length in a competent and composed manner that will make the division sit up and take notice.

:dunno:

When we came out of the staium the coach driver had BBC Wales (or some such local station) on and they were saying that Sousa could not have any complaints. He said that Forest were the better side throughout and deserved to win, so it was a surprise to see Sousa's comments. The fact is that Swansea's style of play was very similar to ours of a few years ago. We could string passes together forever but no-one was willing to make a decision to attack.

It was so noticeable that, using the stadium clock, I timed one phase of play and from picking the ball up in their own area Swansea took over two minutes to cross the half way line. i reckon that the Beeb has got it right - we showed them how to play.

Small, but nice, graph in the Sun today talking about how Billy and Sven are making Nottingham a real footballing city once again.

Talksport on Sunday, they said the Championship is poor and Newcastle are the only decent team with any sort of consistancy.

I'm not a big fan of us in the spotlight. I feel once we start getting big write-ups and people start saying what a great side we are, we go on to lose some pointless games. I quite like opening the paper and finding we aren't in there. Just going about our business quietly.

All these people getting worked up about the BBC, the Newspapers, etc. have clearly run out of things to complain about on the pitch.

I prefer us staying beneath the radar as much as possible. No hype and no bullshit are good things. They don't see us coming

Apart from Steve Howard's column following Tysongate, The Sun are generally quite nice about us. Same goes for the NOTW.

Their write-ups are generally full, or at least, half-page and full of praise for our style of play.

All papers have to have some negative stories such as the Billy v Pleat one.

If by staying out of the media spotlight it keeps the pressure of our young side and we carry on playing well I don't really care TBH.
The media will wax lyrical about the always overrated Harry Redknapp and his Spurs side and similar under achieving rammel such like these.
