Are Earnie and Dex moulding ?

Watching the hgihlights (so excuse my view) but are Dex and Earnie starting to form an instinctive partnership ?

Some of the simple passes Dex put into others players paths, and some of the efforts that t'other players converted from him starting off the attacks seemed almost instinctive, especially to Earnie. The one being the Earnie dummy then gets it back from Dex !

It's very rarely we see the Van Hooijdonk / Campbell and Cole / Yorke partnerships form, but on attributes they should fit perfectly. Based on those who went, is this what we are beginning to see ?

Difficult to tell. Perhaps when they play against a team with defenders in it we'll be better placed to judge.

For me Dex is having a good season and earnie looks back in form and there seems to be a nice little partnership building, but you know earnie will pull up on tuesday night and be out for a month............ I hope this doesnt happen .....but sods law and all that.... mind I can see billy resting Earnie on tuesday and gives Tyson another run out.

They have shown clear signs this season for me.

You need to remember Dexter is lacking match sharpness due to his injury and with Earnshaw signifying his desire to play week in, week out for us; he has worked his arse off since the Boro game.

If Earnie keeps up his form that he has been and Dexter gets back to the form he was in, we'll see a great blend.

Blackstock lead the line superbly yesterday.

However, churlish this might sound, but we must bear in mind that yesterday we were up against a defence that had kittens every time someone ran at them...Not everyone will be so......accomodating.

While I do agree with what you say, you have to consider that defence had only conceded 8 all season when playing away from home where only us and Newcastle had conceded less. We weren't playing against mugs....well we was on the day like but you get what I mean ;)

Oh, I agree entirely.

I think a lot of it was down to our tactics - and application of them.

That 5-1 yesterday was a little bit of Billy Davies magic as much as the players.

On another note, isn't that the first time under Billy the team have been superb ALL match, rather than just one half ?

I was expecting some bread joke in this thread.

Earnie tries the dummy fairly often, Adebola picked up on it too.

Is interesting that our 6 strikers seem to have whittled to 3 with Tyson a wider forward player.

Mcgoldrick and Garner are great squad players, but are never the preffered choice really are they..
have said that throughout the season..

Leicester's defence resembled The Village People saturday.

Dressed in silly costumes and just bent over and took a damn good rogering!!

Moulding?

Is that a Euphemism?

Dex was awesome and Earnie will score consistently at this level (provided he isn't played up front on his own).

Whenever we play two upfront they should be the automatic choice (but I can also see Billy reverting to his 4-2-3-1 for games like tomorrow).

I'd say neither are yet past their sell-by date, so mould is a long way off.

Rotating the players can certainly help keep them fresh..............

Was the 1st goal really as good as it looked on the highlights?

I thought his 2nd was the best. The quick feet to get to it before the keeper
