Yeah, I keep that highlights package on my desktop - watch it every couple of weeks.

Sweet.

Oh god damn there are some moments where the years - YEARS sorry - of pain and anguish, the miserable wet Tuesday nights, cold winter afternoons, the heartache, the feeling of loss and emptiness that go with being a football fan - a Forest fan especially, really seem too much.

Then THAT goal goes in.

Goatboy summed it up perfectly. :)

Flagman's Dad wasn't there (was at a 50th Wedding Anniversary do), but the old boy who sits to my right was. He'll be 75 if he's a day...sits with his wife, and they bicker a bit, and he applauds politely if we score. If he had a flat cap, he'd probably take it off his head and wave it about a bit.

When THAT goal went in...

...I think I may have kissed him in the pandemonium!! I certainly recall him picking me up and then me picking him up...

If my dad had been there, there would undoubtedly have been a father-son bonding moment...

Makes it all worthwhile. A bit like winning the lottery, i guess.... You do it each week more in hope than expectation, then once in a while.....JACKPOT!!!!

It is always the reaction from Dexter that sends chills down my back. True, it probably (read definitely) got him booked, but damn what a reaction. That moment there told you everything you needed to know about Dexter being here.

I loved that game.

Ten minutes before the end, at 2-1 down, the consensus seemed to be that we were going down ... two goals later and WE ARE STAYING UP, GARNER! DEXTER! DANCING IN THE ISLES, BILLY DAVIES'S RED AND WHITE ARMY, YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU REDS!

It was such an important goal that there was even cheering in the Brian Clough Stand.

Maybe just a few quiet murmurs of "You reds"

After watching that video am I the only one who thinks Ned Kelly looks like Voldemort?

I expected the contents of this thread to be ...

... 36p in change for a bus to Derby ... man!

Followed by a chorus of "fack off tramp".
