What a great win yesterday! :) :nowink: ;D
Was at a wedding but kept getting texts and sneaking a look on the Wap! Lol. Watched highlights today, facking brilliant, top buzz.
Anyhows, soz if previously posted by anyone but heard Mckenna was stretchered off, has anyone heard how bad his injury is. Really hope he'll be back for our next game as he's been awesome in the games i've seen him.

Whilst the stretcher came out, he didn't use it - he was limping heavily though.

Forest haven't released any info about it - hopefully with a couple of weeks to recover he'll be fine :)

He returned onto the pitch at the end to lift the BC Trophy. Had a pack of ice on his left ankle and had a less obvious limp.

Physio Balderston did signal a break on the pitch, but he was able to limp off with help..

One thing is for sure, his role is pretty key to our fortunes this season, and im hoping this injury wont hit us too hard considering the forthcoming international break.

I think it is just a heavy knock, maybe a bit of bruising on the bone.

I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday to find out!

How exactly?

Yeah, but clearly that was premature - he'd not have walked off (albeit with massive assistance) if that diagnosis was still likely.

Would he have been hanging around at the end if he'd broken a bone? You'd think they'd take him to x-ray and get it treated asap.

True. Obvously not a serious displaced fracture if they let him walk off. I watched him as he was helped down the tunnel and he seemed to be protecting the ankle. Maybe he turned the ankle, or worse, damaged ankle ligaments. This would be bad news so I [ray it's not the latter. It's postitve that he was seen on the pitch after the game walking on it like another poster has said. Fingers crossed, he has been very very good for us this season. Can't wait to see him playing with Cohen in the middle.

Lets hope he's alright. will be 1 of the kay players this year.

He is THE KEY PLAYER this season.

I'm sorry but Man of the match every game so far!

Regardless of the own goal, He was Definatly the difference between us seeing the job out against Derby this season in comparison to that horrible night in the cup last term.

Hmm, we could be starting to look a bit thin on the ground in central midfield if McKenna is out, no McGugan for a few weeks, still no Moose, Perch out for a long time and Cohen having to play left-back. Only leaves Majewski!

He made a 'cross' sign with his arms = a fracture
::)
After Commons had tried to nutmeg him and failed due to Mckennas skill, the physio was indicating that Mckenna had the X Factor.

Moussi walked off with the same amount of assistance when he had a break in his foot/ankle.

I thought arms crossed over head meant "Bring on the stretcher" and signified nothing more than that.

Majewski can do a job in McKennas position (v Bradford fist half) so its a good job we strengthened the squad for this season.
I'd like to see them both in the team though, they are starting to gel as a midfield

I thought stretcher and not fracture. I went over on my ankle once palying and this youth shouted "thats broke" it put me on a downer. So if it was broken you wouldnt let him know straight away Shock could set in.

If it was a brake I doubt they'd have let him hobble off, assisted or otherwise.

Or let him walk about on the pitch afterwards for that matter.

I'd also like to thank Saint Robert of Savage for attempting to use his messiah like healing powers by dragging McKenna to his feet, when he was clearly injured.

I saw that aswell. Could have quite easily have been time wasting though. Were pretty quick at updating our fans with inuries such as this so Im saying there is nothing wrong with him
