Nuno has been very clear a few times we won't sell anyone, nobody will leave even for good money. EM has never sold a player against the managers wishes
Would be madness to sell at this point unless it's mental money; £50m-ish, and we have a top replacement nailed down.
Some dude from the Mail has said it would need to be too good to turn down, which for me is in the £40-50m markSKY saying we have rejected Newcastle.
Yeeeeeooooo.
Talks don't even start at that. Talks start at £70m because we would not be able to get a replacement. At this point in the window?
Talks start at 40m plus add ons. Anything less and we hang up the phone.
If we get anywhere north of £40m were selling regardless of any replacement imo.
Even if we get north of Watford I wouldn’t sell him at this stage. If we get anywhere north of £40m were selling regardless of any replacement imo.
I don’t disagree. I guess it depends what other irons we may have in fires and whether the club view Jota and Sosa as immediately ready to contribute.Talks don't even start at that. Talks start at £70m because we would not be able to get a replacement.
I know I am spamming but EM doesn't sell when people waft money in his face, his priority is winning matches. If this is a genuine approach Newcastle have played this terribly and clearly not taken into account how we historically operate.
I just think Newcastle are posturing to their fansIf they'd approached us a week ago I think we might have sold him for £35m. We seem able to identify decent players in the £10-15 price bracket at will, so we could have lined a replacement up fairly easily, I think.
But if we sell him now, then CHO gets injured next match, guaranteed.
Yeah, you might be right. They must've known we wouldn't sell.I just think Newcastle are posturing to their fans
The strategy is terrible and comes across like they know a deal won't get done
