Soon, it will be available in blu-ray supplied with 3D glasses.

Seriously though, the DVDs are a good idea - wouldn't it be great if Forest done the same.

Do Forest get any royalties from the DVD as it will feature our team aswell :p

To be honest I wouldn't be too interested if Forest started doing this - Derby are gonna become even more of a joke if they start bringing out DVDs of every game!! Surely if it were there something like a cup final for them it would make sense ...... oh wait :D :D

The DVDs would appeal to people who can't make it to the match, or who attended the match but found it special for some personal reason. I'd imagine overseas Forest fans would like to obtain DVDs.

Forest do, just at the end of seasons when we've actually achieved something worth commemorating with a DVD release. We must accept that certain other clubs' criteria for deeming something a sufficiently worthy achievement is simply beating us by a single goal.

Bit more understandable than the millwall DVD if you be fair. If it were us scoring the goal in the 79th, I'd buy it, even if it was a pretty terrible match.

It's quite a good idea, this ties up with the American ethic of offsetting free tickets with merchandise in this way

They do it in Baseball and American footy. Why not I say, fair play to the sheep, they boost attendance figures and sell more merchandise whenever they can.

A captive market and all that

American sports have always been run foremost as businesses, certainly in comparison to somewhere like Forest or derby. I'm not saying there is no merit in their business model, but i do like that with Forest you can go and see them play or listen to it on their site, and if you want to get more involved on top of that you can buy a shirt or a keyring. No nonsense. It's about the football, not the club playing it. That's sport.

When the first football reward cards come out, you'll all remember this post.

If they were to do it regular then I don't think people would blink twice, but to do it in the middle of a season were they are in serious danger of relegation does make it laughable lol

Forest, of course, did release a video of the final game of the 2007-08 season, when we beat Yeovil and results went for us (Colin Frey: "..and Cheltenham have SCORED!" so we were promoted to the Championship.

That was a real special game (yes I was there, and yes, I bought the DVD).

Did a large lorry load of blank DVD's crash into Pride Park recently and they're just looking to shift them sharpish?

Whilst I would not condone it, using Derby's penchant for DVD production you could kinda understand Forest bringing out one for the 3-2 earlier in the season, as there were a few goals involved and the extras could've included Tyson's lesson in flag waving. ;D

But to release a DVD of one of the worst games of "football" you'll ever see is just tragic in my eyes and makes Derby look like more of a small-time club than they actually are.

Whilst it could potentially lead to some serious injuries and for that reason I don't ultimately condone it, it would be nice to see 100's of blank DVD's raining down on Derby fans next season at the CG, assuming we are in the same league of course... (hopefully not)

I think the DVD's are a great idea and wish Forest would do it. How much would it cost to get them out? Not much. Yes every game is daft but every now and again like when we beat derby 3-2 would be great.

To be honest, as an overseas supporter who can't get to games I wouldn't buy DVDs of games if Forest put them out regularly (unless it was a cup final or something special like that). I know this season when I've been able to get hold of some of our full games (via torrents) I rarely watch the full 90mins, even when I plan to. Once you know the final score and know roughly what time the goals are scored you find yourself fast forwarding through that "20 minute quiet spell" and go straight to the goals or other incidents. I'd sooner just watch the 15 minutes of highlights on Forest World and wait until the season review at the end of the season than pay money for 5 minutes of action on a 90 minute DVD. But hey, the Sheep have to get their entertainment wherever they can these days so let them have their little moment in the sun in an otherwise dull and dreary season.

I also think they're a good idea. If they're making a profit on them then good luck to them.

I know Lincoln do a similar thing and shift them on ebay.

Wasn't it a shit game of hoof ball and fouling though? Who the bloody hell wants that on DVD? Its barely worth taping the highlights off TV, never mind gerrin' this!
