Heard a guy in Jonathan James talking about Brian Roy, must be set for a comeback as well.

He once famously said "the only good thing about Nottingham is Robin Hood - and he's dead".

Last seen modelling underpants and training one of Ajax's (many) youth teams - not, I hasten to add, at the same time.

If I'm not mistaken, Bryan Roy has something to do with the company that make those football figureens (That are sometimes advertised at the bottom of this forum ;D).

who's this reid bloke?

A player I once heard described as a "tubby wing wizard".

Funnily enough completely by random chance due to the vagaries of BMI Baby's ticketing system, I ended up sat next to him on flight from East Midlands to Dublin in June 08.

Of course, I was wearing a Forest shirt, which was a bit of a conversation-opener, he's a really decent bloke though and chatted quite openly about Sunderland, their (former) Manager (didn't he used to play for us too?) I was surprised he chose to fly with a budget airline, but he was apparently in Nottingham on business (I think he has some property in Nottingham or something?)

I'd love to see him in a Forest shirt again, but I'm not sure we could afford his wages!

I believe he and John Thompson are co-owners of the Running Horse pub on the top of Alfreton Road

I thought my old guitar teacher owned it (Steve Pinnock), he's always playing in there anyway ...

In terms of momentous occassions I would liken Andy Reid returning to Forest with the Jewish return to Israel.

 :worthy:

I'm not sure his return would cause the same amount of international terrorism, hand-wringing and intervention by the US in other countries' internal matters, but if it did, it would certainly liven up an away trip to Coventry.
