Mentioned in the summer transfer thread. Now Fab has posted a tweet. According to papers in Brazil , we will allow him to stay in Brazil till their end of season (in Dec)

Does look like a good fit for the 8 role, this report from Nathan Joyce is great

Sounds promising! With premier league fees being what they are it seems sensible that we keep looking to unearth talent from south america and some of the lesser european leagues

Hopefully we actually see him play for us unlike Cuiabano who is apparently still on loan in Brazil. We usually do ok with Brazilian players though as long as they’re not goalkeepers.

Forest summer transfer window checklist:

Buying a player to farm off to Olympiakos, check.

Buying a Brazilian and loan back to selling club till season end, check.

Buying an over the hill player on loan, ToDo.

Last day:
Talks break down on a promising signing in the final few hours.

Submitting bids on Meh player well over the odds which get rejected, thankfully.

Panic buying someone else who starts less than 15 matches for Forest, gets farmed if to Oly, Rio Ave etc for the next few years.

Caught the take end of the South American expert on TalkSPORT and he said he was surprised we were interested, apparently had a few needles bookings and sendings off and didn’t feel he was the finished article yet. But saying that he likened Jesus to Drogba so not sure how accurate his feedback will be

Smells of Oly to me
Yep, but it's still unclear who will buy him. Our transfer window is open until mid-September, so if the group cannot buy him during your window we will be the buyers.

According to the Greek press, the player will stay in Brazil until December and we'll see what happens then.

We are ahead of schedule here, couple of final day deals already ticked off.

Let's see what the panic buying category brings.

Why is it we buy the players for Oly, but it never happens the other way round?
Just part of the deal with having EM as owner, cost of doing business. Not sure we’re missing out tbh. Long term were certainly getting a good deal compared to various other owners.

I'd assume it's because we're the more attractive club for players being in the Premier League.

Perhaps also financial rules in the greek league - assume they get nowhere near as much income from league position and TV rights to be able to spend as much.

Massive difference in Finances....

Only just realised that the Greek keeper Tzolakis at Hull that kept 2 clean sheets in first 2 games was Olympiacos regular keeper and fee was reported 20 million. Tho if Vlach if best Greek keeper then that wudn't say too much about Greek goalkeepers.. (Forest now looking for new keeper, but wouldn't of gone down well with fans, had Forest then bought him...)

While Kostoulas cost Brighton a lot - about 30 million last year and only 18. Thought that he could of been bought my Forest...

Guys, you should just listen to me, we've only got the over the hill loan and a panic buy left to go. Everything else is on track.
