Ando or Martin?

Being a Forest fan who originated in Ipswich I am interested to see that Lee Martin has joined Ipswich today

While Martin showed glimpses of class (including that goal) , for most part he was disappointing while wearing the Red of Forest.

I feel that Anderson also had an indifferent season but showed a lot more that Martin did in his brief spell. I have even heard people say that Martin was too good for us and that's why he didn't fit it.

So come on boys and girls...which one would you choose?

Ando for me

No question about it for me........Paul Anderson without any shadow of a doubt.

We simply didn't have any boots big enough for the likes of Lee Martin and his dreadful attitude.

Anderson without doubt. Martin thought he was better than he was and will never make it at Man U

Martin has more skill for sure and in the right team will probably show his attributes. I'd have Anderson easily as his game is more adaptable and consistent.

Martin will definatly benifit from playing under the wrath of roy keane. A good move from Sir Alex if you ask me

Anderson was infinitely better for us.

I wish we were in a team good enough to have Martin in it, though. Natural talent with that boy was phenomenal. I imagine he'll struggle at Ipswich, though, for similar reasons to why he struggled here.

Ando without a shadow of a doubt! As much as i like Keano as a manager he don't half bring some strange players in! He must like the challenge or summat because unless Martin has changed his lifetime bad attitude then it will end in tears at Ipswich. The tears won't belong to Keane... ;D

For us now - Anderson.

For us if we had better players - for much the same reasons as Clusternakker above - Martin.

I hope Anderson turns out to be the buy of the season though.

What makes you say this though? What have you seen from Martin that says he is a better player all round then Anderson?

Anderson was very comfortable out wide, obviously well drilled in his defensive duties... Martin wasn't and clearly preferred a forward role.

And we have 5 strikers better than Lee Martin.

Answer = Anderson.

Unless the Martin in question is Martin Maradonna then Ando all the way.

Lee Martin is the biggest tossbag to play for us in recent seasons.

Not enough of Martin to be absolutely certain to be honest, but from what I saw of him I get the feeling he is a luxury player - you will need others to carry him at times - hence Anderson now - but I also get the feeling that Martin is more capable of beating a player, doing the unexpected, creating something out of nothing - that's not to say I don't think Anderson can - but I think Martin is the more likely to be a matchwinner with a moment of magic.

Don't get me wrong - I really rate Anderson and I'm chuffed to bits we got him at all, let alone at what I consider a bargin price - and I'm sure he's going to develop into a really good player (I hope that's at Forest and that he's here for years to come) but, if we had better players, more capable of carrying Martin, then I think I'd want the greater matchwinning potential.

But then it's only an opinion based on not really enough evidence on the Martin front.

Martin was a very good player, the way he went about his football in his first couple of games was very impressive, if we had a team that was up to his quality then Martin would of been a machine, unfortunately Martin couldn't be arsed with the graft of what we needed him to do.

Anderson is a very good player also, he brings an amazing work ethic, he has pace in abundance. He is a full back's dream, a player that can really run a football game, once he's got more experience he'll be terrific, and the fact that he was a bargain is also, very good, for me, Anderson, but I would understand us getting Martin if he was available nearer the top of the league.

martin is skilful with quick feet but that's about it he doesn't have as much pace and certainly not as much work rate as anderson , if i were a forest player there's no doubt who i'd want playing alongside me and i'm expecting ando to really flourish next season , chuffed as f*** that he's signed :)

Martin is the same as Aaron Davies one goal one game.

Anderson was good for us last season would of been even better if he was more consistant in his final ball but this will come as he is only 20 or so.

Ando anyday. In fact I can't think of a single winger in this league I'd swap him with !
