I agree.

Whilst I might worry about those additional terms I'll give credit where it's due and praise the club (including my friend Mr Arthur) on a fantasic looking piece of business.
lol lol Who's cooking the pie? lol

In all fairness this has to be the bargain of the summer without doubt!!!

Yeah, totally agree. I imagine there will be a few CCC clubs who wish they had gone for him at that price.

Agreed, I think we can pretty much assume theres gonna be a sell on clause with this transfer, and maybe a couple more hundred thousand based on appearances and goals scored..............

but yeah really good signing :D Well played the board and management ( not often we've said that recently!)

Maybe we just put in a derisory bid, and it was accepted?
Finally! :)

A succesful derisory bid! ;D

That gives us a strike rate of 1 in 463 now! :D

Great news - glad he's decided to join us. What a bargain!

Some good news has been churning out of the CG this week,, lets hope it continues this way. I dont know too much about our other signings Adebola & Mcgoldrick, but i trust Billy Davies knows his stuff and so fingers crossed all 3 of this weeks signings will turn out to be good business for us.

:)

(How much did Swansea offer? :D)

£2.5 million.

Our strategy of hoping that the other club's Chief Executive is dyslexic finally paid off.

£250K, what a bargain! I guess he really didn't like Swansea.....

Liverpool also accepted £250k for him from Swansea, didn't they? I guess he just wanted to join us more. :D

I thought it was £750K?

Edit - looking at old news stories it was just reported as "six figure"

It has been confirmed a fair price even for my view of Anderons abilities I think that is cheap I was expecting more £400k or in that region.

well bogger me. I'd have thought it would have been closer to £1,250,000 never mind just 250,000

Fabulous news as we already know and love the lad and we don't even have to worry about whether he's gonna be another Lee Martin or whatever.

Now lets see a mint centre half and central midfielder signed and I'll be one happy weasel.

;D

This is an absolute steal.

He was one of the best players in the league for me last season, when fit. I remember the Derby away cup game, the one where he got injured, he was ripping them to pieces until he had to go off.

Excellent player, dangerous and finally a signing I can get excited about.

Well that's 1.25million spent just now for the other 18.75 million

Tree men do us new signing. Thanks

I think this is great for the club.

£250,000, thats sound incredibly cheap to me. I would suspect their is a massive sell-on clause in the contract; Liverpool are not that stupid - their silly with big curly hair do's and big Magnumish mustaches and drive Ford Capris wearing big colourful shell suits.

I think there is every possibility that he could be our play of the season, if we don't get up I can see him going to a Prem club for up to £2m.

I was pleased we'd signed Adebola and McGoldrick, if not slightly concerned that neither look to be as good as Blackstock. I was half hoping, half praying for news on Anderson today and when I saw the text come through earlier I smiled before doing an almighty double take at the price! £250,000 ?!?!?!?!?! Daylight Robbery!

Isn't it Ironic we've just made the steal of the summer - from Liverpool! :D

Well if this is anything to go by, McGoldrick should be at least 4 times the player anderson is  ::)

Possibly, bit soon to say at the moment. Clearly Liverpool don't rate him that highly to let him go for so cheap.

He's still not played to his full potential for us yet I don't think. At times he was electrifying, so if he could produce that more often he might be buy of the season. Rarely is 250,000 a bad price for any player, not least one we've already trialled for a season and is so young and full of potential.

What an absolute bargin!

I don't feel he ever got going last season. Has plenty of potential though, so let's see hpw he gets on next season when fully fit.

As it stands:

Smith/??

Chambers/Malony Wilson/Gunter Morgan/Barker Bennett/Lynch

Anderson/McLeary McGugan/McKenna Cohen/Moussi Tyson/McSheffery

Earnie/Garner McGoldrick/Adebola

Those in bold are players that we have been linked with / fans hope to sign during the summer. Let's hope they come off because if so, that squad looks b****y good to me! ;D

YOU REDS!
