An apology to OTT and Red Widdow

Not wanting to seem like a sycophant, it's worth pointing out that both OTT and Red Widdow called Bertrand last week.

They also both called Davenport training with the club.

One twitter from Robin Chipperfield was enough to turn the tides against these two guys.

It's not been proven that Chipperfield was wrong when he said Bertrand wasn't close to signing.

I never vocalised my doubt, but to be honest after the Chipperfield stuff I began to doubt.

I think I, along with many others, owe you both an apology.

Hopefully the Whittingham stuff is also true, so more people can owe you an apology.

Keep up the good work, guys, it's appreciated by everyone on here.

Cheers. As I said, I think Chipperfields comment was more aimed towards NEP as they said he would sign in 24 hours. And he said he doesnt think a deal is that close (sitting on fence really)!

Yes and fingers crossed we get Whittingham - I know OTT is pretty definate we have him!!

Would hope they still may look to get Shorey, as I think him and Bertrand and Whittingham (if he signs) could all still play in the same team! And suddenly we go from having a really weak left side to perhaps one of the strongest in the Championship!

Can we not include something on the site; either a thread controlled by the Mods or a column next to the users name which tells how many player predictions they have got correct? This way we will be able to see who to trust with regards to rumours and not rubbish them straight away. Just an idea.

Its not difficult to work out - you can tell from the reactions of long standing members whether they have any previous for being correct.
