Scored a hat trick for the U17s yesterday v Liverpool..

Couple of interested observers from the management team there from what I heard.

He's started the season really well. I wouldn't have put him down as one to watch. You never know though, everyone progresses differently and he could easily explode this season. Very talented bunch the 18s and 16s. The 14s are particularly good as well.

Went to Scunny to watch the U21s in the National League Cup. They lost 2-1. Few things to take out of it.
Scunny were far more clinical in front of goal, although Kalum Thompson led the line well, Grady McDonnell was really impressive, playing the MGW role in a setup matching the first team.
Blaine McClure is a niggly little bugger, who I definitely would prefer to have on my side than be up against, always at the heels of his opponent, playing the more defensive role to allow the 8 to roam a bit.
The wing backs tonight, Jamie Newton and Jimmy Sinclair covered a hell of a lot of ground, and were outlets for a lot of the build up.
Only down side is the lack of a real outlet, Sillah going out on loan is a good thing, but he provided a lot to them as well.

Very interesting signing that, lot of hype around the League of Ireland over him since he scored in the Conference League Phase when he was just 16, to get him on a free is very smart business.

Another new 'face' in the Academy, with Leicester U18 Head Coach, Adam Barradell moving to Forest in the last week to join our U18s in the same role. Spent a decade at Leicester, and had a lot of say in the development of Monga and others.

Modupe at the back is a unit.

On comes Bonnick

Whatever that last Burton effort was, I don't know.

Looked like Willows had a bottle under his towel with the Burton players’ penalty-taking preferences. That’s more detailed planning than I was expecting, but I suppose it’s worth it for the bonus point.

Nice to win on pens.
I listened to this on Radio Derby and to be fair, the commentators were very complimentary to our lads. 👍
To say that most of our squad were 18 or younger, its a good performance. Still plenty to take from it too, and Notts County at Murder Lane next month.

The last Burton pen was tragic 😂

Very impressed by the lads up top, plus the keeper and Newton. I went to the Harrogate game a few years ago and with all due respect, the difference in quality was quite a gap. Some handy looking players coming through by the looks of things.

Minus points for the old bloke who made a couple of w**king jokes sat near me, I thought he was a poster from this forum for a bit
