Aaron Davies

What is everyones problem with this guy? With Perch injured is he Forests new emotional punchbag? I personally thought considering he hasn't played first team football for a few weeks he did well and showed lots of potential. Got stuck in, never stopped running and even provided the cross that chambers scored from. Not saying he should be picked above anyone else but just making a point. :nowink:

I heard a rumour he prods dogs with pencils and has been forcing mice to race against a rolling piece of cheese that they can never catch. I'm not having that sort of man anywhere near my team.

he runs like forrest gump

I think it comes with the territory with being a Nott'm Forest player.

Some of our moronic 'supporters' always have to have a scapegoat. Seeing as Aaron hasn't played that much for us due to a series of injuries after all the hype that surrounded him, unfortunately he drew the short straw.

Also, due to the fact that Luke Chambers tried his best for a year or more in a position that primarily isn't his best, he also comes in for critisism from the same sort of people. We are now seeing what he is capable of when he is played in his prefered position and is looking like a steady player for us.

Hes just not built for this level of football, simple as.

Shows how crap we must have been on 'that night' against Yeovil Town.

I'm amazed!!! a non-idiotic reply to a thread!!

I suspect most of our 'moronic supporters' use this site. Could LTLF provide an IQ test which has to be passed before you're granted member access?

I think Davies will come good if he ever stays fit, you can see he has the talent.

My problem with him was that, he's spent most of his time at Forest in the treatment room and most of his time playing stood out on the wing, doing absolute nothing and contributed a grand total of absolutely nothing in his time here.

However, by all accounts he looked a decent player last night. If he keeps it up, I may reconsider my opinion.

Not sure who Aaron Davies is.

Would this 'IQ test' include spelling questions?

I suspect the full on Moronic supporters can't use a computor.

I like Davies but when watching him in 'that' Yeovil game, he seemed tall strong and confident.

Something he's never done since being here unfortunately. Rather than see the likes of Heath and Moloney go out on loanwhenw e really need defenders, I'd have liked Davies to go out and get some games under his belt.

For the record I think I'd pass the IQ test but still mostly contribute dribble.

It took me until the 60th to realise he was playing fter he took to corner for Chambers goal.I did notice that when Earnshaw and Anderson went off they both got a pat on the back from Billy but he never looked at Davies when he went off.

Is Aaron Davies Welsh?

Who is Aaron Davies again? Yeah he must be, Davies is a welsh name right, like that Arron Davies who plays for us and Billy Davies, he's Welsh right?

I think Aaron Davies is American.

Ah in that case he definetly has a computer - because American's invented the computer, the internet, oxygen and cars. As well as saving the world from alien invasion and ending all World Wars.

I don't rate the guy. Although I was quite impressed with him last night.

He seems to be one of these players who when he is good.. he is very good. But that is not consistent enough to warrant a starting place. Yes he has had injuries and lot's of them but he just doesn't seem to be consistent enough and with wingers like Ando and McCleary here it is going to be difficult for him.

I think he was signed to put Yeovil in a position where the money became too much to turn down rather than genuinely being on his trail. Almost a fan pleaser after the shock at CG when he had a wonder game. He is not up to the standard of the rest of the players that play in his position consistency is the key for him. He reminds me of Bopp in a way. Would have a good game then feature more and just lose form.

I think Davies just lacks confidence. He seems to have some good attributes (very good dribbler, defenders don't know which way he will go, when he actually tries to take them on, and he's got an eye for goal, decent at the defensive side too) and ability hiding somewhere, but is scared to really go for it. Reckon he's useful to have around, in case of injuries, or we need to bring him on as a sub.

He took some good corners, that's more than we've seen in what seems like years and years!

Always has looked good when he's near full fitness, I hope he gets a real time to shine under BD because he has the ability, dripping back into the first team will be a start, he'll need to get used to Championship traits which he didn't really pick last year because of injury.

If he stays injury free this season he'll do well for us.

Forest fans have a terribly disrespectful trait of mis-spelling their players names. Recent examples include Isiah Osbourne, Gareth McCleary, Lewis McGuigan and my personal favourite Sammy Clinighan. Our misfiring winger is called Arron Davies. Come on fellas, get it right.
