A few points about the match on Saturday,i was looking forward to this one as i have a few forest mates and they came with me in the home end.Despite our recent poor form i fancied us to beat you as we do play better against teams who try and play football and also here at Doncaster we do seem to be a bit of a bogey team for you.
The match itself wasn't the greatest of matches, you are obviousley a good team as both Blackstock and Earnshaw would walk into our side so that was a plus for us.However your passing seemed to be wayward and we won the midfield battle although we didnt turn the possesion into chance.
No complaints from me about the penalty,i was sat right infront of it and it was a stonewall penalty, not sure how the lino couldnt give it tbh.We then scored a decent goal from Billy and missed a few more half chances.
Tyson then missed a sitter for you and i think if that had gone in we would have seen a differant outcome. Our manager tends to like to protect a lead and we changed into a more holding midfield to try and stop you playing through us and that worked well as you started lumping it up to Adebola which was what we wanted.
The second half was much of a nothingness with us trying to protect the lead and yourselves not looking like getting back into it.The red card was one of those stupid rules, technically it was studs up and by the letter of the law he had to go but its a stupid rule as he didnt even foul Oster and won the ball.I think all fans would like that rule tweaking.
Cant say i understand booing at your own subs why was that.???? i understand things were not going well but there was time left and your having a great season,i can only assume somethings gone off that opposition fans are not aware off.
Thats about it,i have probably seen both sides of Forest this season (4-1 at city ground)
i think the playoff are a good bet but think auto may just be pushing it a bit this season.best of luck though...

Some fans were booing because we have a large contingent of fickle, half brained, inbred hicks amongst our support who seem to think that if they were managing us that we would be winning European Cups each year.

Just the glory hunters who have jumped on board since we have been doing so well who now expect us to win every game 42 - 0 and Majewski to be instrumental in every match

What he said.

I think that a lot of part time fans have come along since the Preston match when we pulled them apart of TV. People are coming down expecting to see teams roll over and us :spankarse: them each week.

Spot on there mate, I think we are destined for the play-offs but then I thought the same after we beat the baggies and QPR. We just don't have the squad or experience to sustain a top 2 push - I would love to be wrong of course.

As for some of our fans, like all the clubs we have a minority who expect the moon on a stick and at the first sign of poor form, start dissenting. Personally I wish they would just **** off and buy a subscription to Sky to watch Man U win every other week.

Dya reckon? There's some newbies at home probably, but away it's almost all the hard core fans because there's not much chance of getting a ticket for most games if not?

BTW, I'm not condoning the booing, it's wrong and I have never ever booed Forest in over 500 games, nor would I ever do so.

I also would argue that up until the derby game we all looked at the fixtures arrogantly and couldn't see forest being beaten

I commented to my brother on several occasions that I thought that Forest fans were becoming way to arrogant. Singing were just too good for you at 0-0 or 1-0 is just silly.

I remember mentioning it at the time and was accused of being a miserable sod. I suspect that much of the arrogance came from younger members who didn't know better but it was still annoying all the same.

Now some perspective has come back and people may learn that it pays to be humble and enjoy the good times without spouting about who we should sign in the Prem and slagging off our players as not being good enough.

I always expected us to go on a poor run at some stage, it was inevitable. Equally I expect us to pick ourselves up and get the results which we will put us in with a shout of going up.

I resisted getting caught up in it for quite a while and then after the wba game started to believe the hype despite seeing quite a few hammerings in which it was said we didnt get out of 2nd gear (although I actually felt we didn't play that well it was just the opposition was shocking). I remember people chanting we only need 10 men at reading which at the time was very arrogant lol

Ive also got myself caught up in the knee jerk witch hunt of whats gone wrong when the reality is we have just hit a sticky patch and need to regroup, if we win half the remaining games this season we will still be in the play offs and possibly even auto if you add some draws.

Yeah I said it a few times as well, it was quite embarassing. You can enjoy the run and winning games without getting all cocky and arrogrant and predicting 7-0 wins.

Some people just got a bit carried away with how well we were playing. Lets be honest we were 'kin awesome in some games and it was the first time we've been any good since Harty's play off season.

We can still make the automatic spots, stranger things have happened. Remember those that scoffed (me included) at Balsawood's "misplaced" optimism when we were 10 or 11 points off the pace?

"Boo when we're losing, you only boo when we're losing" etc etc.

to the tune of "sing when you're winning" in case it wasn't obvious

it was a shame, never booed them and never plan to, the club should hold our support winning or losing

I think if you're relying on people to understand it, then you're targeting the wrong subsection.

They're best ignored, or remonstrated with when they choose to exercise their ****wittery.
