Just heard of Radio Notts that Casa on Trent Bridge has been bought out and is due to re-open in the spring with a massive revamp. (outside dining, live music venue etc)

Always good to have another drinking establishment around the ground.

What's that place like?

Bit of a gastropub from memory.

Not really the sort of place you'd expect to find 300 fans singing about Judas Commons! I'd expect this new venture will be similar to how the Larwood has turned out.

Tis a waste just sitting there boarded up.

Had some good times in and around Casa a few years back :)

Cheers for this info been going past it quite often lately and seen the scaffolding and wondered what they have been doing. Although the scaffolding has been there a while now and nothing seems to have happened! Thought it would be turned into flats or a restaurant.

Whooooooooohooooooooooooooo, saw it being worked on t'other day, thought they were stripping out to knock it down or make flats. Thats great news!
Trouble is it always struggled when forest were away and at times in the summer, but maybe the gastro thing can keep it going then on saturdays forest takeover!

Its in todays Post, I love Browns but a Football pub it is not. Sounds like they are having seperate drinking areas so hopefully catering for the footy fans at this one, they would be mad not to.

I'm sure they can make an exception every other saturday

Brilliant, Casa has by far been the best pre-match boozer :)

The beers better in the Globe than it was in Casa.

And I like having our own room as I don't like queueing!

Yeah, Casa had the big outside patio going for it which is ace when it's warm, but it always took forever to get a drink.

I shall stick with the Globe fo'sho - they have EPA

I used to like going to Casa for games at the end of the season and beginning of the next when the weather was good but it did take ages to get served.

From what I've heard, The Globe is much better.

The Globe is much better, so was Amici, the Southbank, Hubble (before they threw us out) and the TBI. Casa were happy to take our money before the game but treated everyone like dogshit after - anyone who was there when they closed down the pub because a Wimbledon fan fell off his seat will know what I mean.

Let's not be talking about leaving the Globe. There's no loyalty anymore.

I'm going to kiss the badge outside the Globe next time I am there.

Will you be kissing anything in the Globe to demonstrate your loyalty, Rich?

Ditto when it involved a West Brom fan/

It also smelled.

Casa, that is.
