A little introduction, a thank you, and a WIN A FOREST SHIRT COMPETITION

Thanks for all of the kind words and the entries for the competition, we had 243 correct entries. The winner is Weejockmcplop. I've got a screen recording of the draw, but having issues uploading will attempt to sort this out and get it posted

By the magic of ForumAdmin and without the use of a time machine, the result is IN!!

...and I've moved it onto the correct post!

"Well, @weejockmcplop you thought you were coming here to shoot the breeze about Nottingham Forest, but, tonight, "This Is Your Shirt!"

„We need more defenders!“

"Hi Bonfy"

My Forest shirt arrived this morning!

On the back. Because I love him.

Thank you so much to Lorraine for organizing this, and of course every time I wear it its in honour of Stuart

Amazing! Well done!

And great choice of name at the back, too.

When I visited the club shop the other day, my 8yo got Yatesy on the back of his new shirt too, and I said to the lad who did the print job "He just loves Ryan Yates." And the lad went "Everyone does, everyone does".

Such a fantastic gesture, Lorraine, thanks again for keeping this community alive.

As someone who doesn't get to games any more and who lives away from the CG, this forum is my lifeline to the club and other fans. I enjoy it immensely so thanks to all who make it such a pleasant stop on my journey through each day.

When we had the bookshop, my office was in the old coal cellar and after having the computer installed for a couple of years (this was in 1993ish) I decided that I would like an extension down to the office. We had just the one computer upstairs in the shop, it was a simple setup, we still used the old manual till for the actual sales and the swipe credit card machine with all those little bits of paper to sort out. So we got a chap to come in and run wires down to the cellar for a simple network. The chap was ex atomic submariner and, amazingly, a Forest fan, so I took advantage to chat whilst he worked. It turns out that there was stuff I knew nothing about on the fledgling internet connected to Forest.

That was how I got on to here after several odd trips through the computer world. And it has been very rewarding.
