A change of tune from our Billy after Derby?

Billy has always said from day one this season (to the press at least) that we are only aiming to improve on last season.

Now, a draw on Saturday would equal last seasons tally of 53 points already and obviously a win would eclipse it.

Is this the point where Mr Davies starts changing his public view on this seasons ambitions?

I'm sure you are all aware by now that privately Davies is just as ambitious as us and wants Promotion this year. While I can see why he is playing down expectations, surely there must come a time where he admits promotion is a possibility

I don't think he will until we're guaranteed a finish in the top 2 or we've just won the play off final.

I can't imagine he'll come out and say it until very end the season.

We've only a small squad, a with bit of bad luck and a couple of injuries things change very quickly. Personally thats why I believe we need a couple of January signings. Too often I've read 'we don't usually make signings in January' but for me this is just a cop out, like burrying your head in the sand. You've always got to look to improve.

I can't imagine he wants to take a page out of Rafa Benitez's book and go 'guaranteeing' a particular League finish.
He's going to look pretty stupid when that doesn't come off.
