A Canary has landed!

Good Morning all,

I am Largey, and Im a Norwich fan. Just popped in to read and share your thoughts and views of the relegation run in our clubs have found ourselves in this season!

You guys got an excellent win yesterday, 3 points for you guys after going 2-1 down felt like 2 points dropped for us. We had a chance against Swansea, but our poor away form really isnt doing any favours once again.

Personally, I can only see us clawing out of the relegation zone at the expense of Barnsley, not Forest. Unfortunately, we know how big of an asset Earnie is to you guys, we saw his talents first hand when he was at Norwich. However, we dont have a proven goalscorer at the club, since Lita returned to Reading from his loan spell. I believe our joint top scorer is OG's...

I'll admit lads, I thought you wer down and out at one stage, when we beat you at your place, I didnt see much from Forest which gave me any impression you would stay up, but you seemed to have rallied from somewhere, and only recently dropped back down.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, I hope to be playing you guys in the Champsionship next season, if thats the case only time will tell!

I'll stick around to see what you guys think of the relegation scrap, any questions about our run-in etc please ask.

predictably i think Delia needs to have another rousing drunken speech at your next home game to rally the troops and give us all some more you tube moments.

I somehow cant see Nigel Dougherty doing that..he was even there again yesterday !

Welcome Canary - In all honesty I am really unsure of what is going to happen this year. I think Southampton and Charlton are down but with these last 4 games and potentiall 12 points to play for if we can get 6 then I think that will be enough.

Norwich as you say have a poor away form and unfortunately I think with the defeat yesterday that may just knock the stuffing out of you guys. 2 more losses and you are down I reckon!

Welcome to the forum. looking at the run in I think Barnsley have it toughest but they have an extra game to get something from. They don't look a great team tough.

next toughest is Norwich.

We've got a tough game tomorrow but our last 3 are winnable. Whether or not we do it is another matter.

Southampton have to beat Palace tomorrow if they have any chance but I think they've gone already.

Thanks all,

Weve got Watford at Home tomorrow, on paper our 'easiest' match left in the campaign. After 2 losses, Im not so optimistic, but remain hopeful.

Then we have the East Anglain Derby. I think everyones fear is that Ipswich send us packing at Portman Road, but once the game kicks off, anything can happen in a derby.

Then Reading at home, which im going to. I think they are play-off destined, and we usually play better against the top teams (4 points v Wolves, 2 v Birmingham, 4 v Cardiff, 3 v Sheff Utd).

Finally away to Charlton, and I dont like the prospect of going away from home on the final day needing a result.

3 points are required tomorrow, but its the unpredictability of the Championship which makes it so great!

Welcome mate, I'm struggling to see beyond us/you/Barnsley either - obviously my priority is a selfish one, but I have no particular axe to grind with either Norwich or Barnsley so I'm sad in a way as I have mates who follow both.

'On paper' is a dangerous way of thinking - but if you were to, then I agree with you that it would be between yourselves and Barnsley - but Forest are infinitely capable of f***ing things up for themselves, so I would never - until it is a mathematical certainty - count us out of the battle.

I'm not expecting much by the way of points tomorrow at Sheffield, so we may well find ourselves back in the bottom three.

I'd like us both to stay up really, I quite like Norwich but it's more out a hate for Ipswich. I always root for Norwich in the old farm derby but I'm sure you'll understand if I don't this year!

I think Plymouth counted themselves out yesterday, so yes I agree its down to us, Forest and Barnsley.

Southampton are only 2 behind us, so they arent down yet, but it doesnt look great for them with their home record.

Dont worry Johnny B, as long as you dont 'support' Ipswich you're fine!

Who do you have to play in your remaining 5 fixtures?

all we need is one more win and draw a few and we are fine i think

Welcome :)

Despite our win yesterday it will, in all likelihood, go down to the wire. It'll take some effort to beat Sheffield United away and if we lose we could easily be back in the relegation zone come tomorrow evening.

It's going to be tight and I wouldn't be able to predict which way it'll go with even a modicum of certainty.

I've filled in the BBc Predictor a few times now with different permutations, and each time I have us having to beat Southampton on the final day to stay up (damn our poor GD!)

Greetings mate from South Africa.
I have no particular axe to grind with Nar-witch, but my neighbour is a Tits-witch fan as is my best mate's wife who is from Thetford. When Tits-witch are on the box their Johannesburg Supporters Club meets nextdoor (all 4 of them) to watch (and do some ploughing). ;D
I have been invited around for a braai (BBQ) on Sunday 19th to watch "The Old Farm" match and I expect that I will still have reason to be supporting the Blue team. Sorry about that as ordinarily I enjoying taking the piss when you beat them.

Which channel are you watching it on dude as I didnt think it was on Sky?!

I know our next match at home to Reading is on Sky.

A lot of our fans on the pinkun.com are saying our match tomorrow is make or break, that is the general feel, but I dont see it as more important than the rest of our fixtures. For our teams, every fixture is winable, loasable, fantastic, or disasterous! Every match is as crucial as the next.

My neighbour thought it was on Sky being a Sunday lunchtime kick-off and the only CCC match that day. Maybe he was just being optimistic.

Hi Largey and welcome to the forum.

My girlfriend supports Norwich so the house is completely split over the relegation battle.

I don't think either of us will go down to be honest because I think both Forest and Norwich have more than Barnsley.

Your only problem, like you've already said, is a lack of goalscoring talent.

Barnsley don't exactly have anyone proven either, but they have plenty more options than you and I hope it's not your downfall.

I can't believe Donkey Docherty still plays after all his mistakes over the years.

Tell me this.

What is your opinion of Sammy Clingan in your midfield ?

I'm pretty sure their fans will think far highly of Clingan than our fans ever did. We should never have let his contract run out , he's a far better player than "Captain b****y Perch" will ever be.

Clingan is currently their club's highest assists with 5 , which is more than any of our players this season which is kind of pathetic and why we are in the dire straits we are.

Clingan & Commons were a loss , as much as people hate to admit it.

I believe both were a loss yes. I would rather have Clingan than Perch in the midfield, just to clear that up.

Cohen has 6 assists.
