A BIG Screen in the City Ground.

Do you think we will have a big screen in the ground this coming season, or think we as fans should have one?

Just wondering seeing as there seems to be a major refurb of the ticket office & shop.

Would be nice to get to the ground and there had been one erected.

maybe the one we bought last year will finally be erected

Why bother, unless we can take it to the Nottingham SuperBowl with us?

Or do we leave it behind for Flagman to watch matches on when he's chained himself in protest to his seat?

To be honest, this comes up every year, and I'm really not fussed.

I'd probably have missed the replay by the time i'd finished celebrating a Forest goal, I wouldn't want to see a team scoring against us again and the powers that be don't allow any 'controversial' incidents to be replayed.

Save the money and give the ground a good clean up instead.

why bother, were only going to move into a new stadium in a few years, we can get them bought for us then.

They've got a big screen at Trent Bridge and I find that it really adds to the atmosphere at matches. Twenty20 is starting soon (Notts v Derby on Friday 11th June!) and video replays really lift it.

Im not bothered either way to be honest, just thought id ask see what you all thought, i dont think its a bad idea to have a big screen, as long as we dont get like Birmingham, and have replays of corners etc and then blurting out over the PA, that corner was sponsored by "whoever"...that is just so cheesey.

I don't see how it adds to the atmosphere at all!

Replays are only used on that screen for televised matches and is much more practical than just being a replay screen. It is primarily a scoreboard, something that isn't really needed urgently at the CG.

The main reason they even fitted a video screen is because it is now an ECB requirement for test match grounds to have a video replay screen by year x(might have been 2015).

If you can't keep up with the score at a football match then you're in trouble.

Football and Cricket are very different and on this occasion can't be compared. Forest do not need a replay screen.

If you want to watch Forest games on TV then come on here on a saturday afternoon and I'm sure Flagman will give you a link to a stream. lol

I've no idea why anyone is that arsed about a big screen, to be perfectly honest.

I think big screen are normally only good for away fans who have a crap view. Pointless having one at the city ground as they have one of the bets views in the ground

Couldn't agree more. When I'm at a match I tend look at the pitch, so unless the screen were on the pitch I wouldn't see it anyway.

I can think of many games in the Megson era when I would have welcolmed a large screen at the city ground, preferably showing something more entertaining than what was happening on the pitch.
