3 things I've confirmed in my mind today..

matt1988

Viv Anderson
1. We really miss Chris Cohen when he's absent.
2. Chambers is not going to be good enough, either at right back or centre back. Wilson has to be first choice for now but we desperately need a new centre back.
3. Tyson's touch is way too bad for him to play on the wing. Moloney had him in his back pocket, once he learnt to deal with the pace Tyson was out of ideas.

Obviously it was only a pre-season friendly and the key thing is fitness, but there are clearly areas we must improve on before the 8th August. We need to get Mills, Billy needs to get his preferred starting XI playing together and gelling, and we need to get the injured players back in! Anyway, onwards and upwards.

All spot on.

I'd just like to also add that we miss Anderson badly until he came on

We did miss Cohen, and have to agree about Tyson. There was times where he looked like he could outpace the defence all day, but his crossing wasn't very good. And his touch sometimes was too heavy.

I don't think Lynch handled Lee Hughes very well at times.

But, It was only a friendly and we did play some decent stuff at times, but when there was a chance to shoot we didnt!

I can't really remember Lynch going up against Hughes seeing as Hughes was playing on left of the two strikers and Lynch was at left back.

Chambers came on, conceded two and then left................ I agree he's not going to be good enough. Hate to say it as he seems like he really cares for the club...............

but then I care too, and Im shit. 8)

Sometimes he did for some reason, and didn't handle him well.
I think Hughes played pretty well for County, sure was the main threat.

Was it him or Rodgers (or someone else even) who hit the post for them. Due to the seating/ticket f*** up we were sat right behind Lynch for the second half and he didn't do too bad, Tyson gave him no protection though which is the main reason I don't like him playing left wing and Anderson didn't give too much either but we know he's not usually like that and seemed to be playing further inside than usual even after we ditched the diamond.

Round pegs in square holes, Davies has been harping on about this since he took over,
we need to get tyson off the wing and sign a proper left sided midfielder with cohen to play in the centre.
Thought it was a very average performance today, mcgugan showed some good awareness in turning his marker and various close quarter touches. Gunter at fault maybe for Hughes goal although looked a bit of a push in the back on him.
Hopefully a starting XI will settle for the the stoke and Brum games

chambers was only on the pitch for a few seconds, he just slipped for the goal, not really his fault.

hes much better than wilson anyhoo.

tyson is league one standard, im amazed that he still cant control a football.

and where the hell is paul smith anyway?

It confirmed one thing in my mind and that is the FACT that Camp is absolute dogshit. He was nowhere on that cross for the second and obviously couldn't be bothered spending the summer chain eating in order to be fat enough to block the first goal.

Useless, absolutely useless. Bring back Barrington Roche, he had a superior first name.

I blame Smith. He was shining a laser pen into Chambers' eyes for like the whole match. Except a small period in the first half when he dropped it.

camp will be our lennon/cole signing
Difficult to know where to begin in correcting you.
1. Lennon was actually quite good while he was here.
2. Lennon and Cole were both about 36, Camps 24 I think
3. Camp has already proven himself to us in a forest shirt to be leagues better than anyone since Paul Gerrard was here.

I demand to see your peer reviewed, empirical evidence for this statement.

Another thing to confirm, that Mcgugan still hits the corners too deep and mostly out of play.

This is the problem, delusions of grandeur, where'd that come from, the save at PP?

I would find you that 50 page thread on Paul Smith but when i searched his name it said, did you mean PAIL Smith.

That together with a load more quality match-saving saves. Pretty much. And he caught some crosses in a forest shirt, and that dodgy moment for QPR, against us, was just because LEE CAMP IS A FOREST FAN

Another thing to note:

That kid who replaced Chambers (Mitchell was it?) could be class if he beefed up abit. Never lost a header or challenge.
